To haul your RZR in back of 1/2 ton pickup, simply buy two 2X10 planks, cut them the length of your pickup bed (to end of tailgate) Drill anchor bolt hole through board and box, drop in bolt (no nut needed) drive rzr up on ramps (not using the 2X10 as ramp) The front wheels of rzr on planks and rear on blanks distribute the weight so not all the weight is on tailgate. Worked for me with a Mule.

Just take two 2x10 planks, cut to length of pickup box so they are to end of tailgate, anchor them with bolt through box. Drive mule up with ramps onto the planks. Front wheels on plank and back wheels on planks distribute the weight, that way there is less weight on tailgate. Works better than a sheet of thick plywood and easy to take out when not hauling the rzr. Worked great when I had my mule

$1700. 10 foot ramps included.
He will even custom make one for you if you need room for a fuel
tank up front or something else.

Re: RZR in the bed of a truck...good or bad
Here it is in a short bed Chevy. I put 2X10's on the right and left side to keep the weight off the airgate and you must back in the rzr. I drove over 600 miles like this. Note there is 2 straps underneath and one on front you can't see in this pic.

Re: RZR in the bed of a truck...good or bad
Here's my new RZR loaded in a truck bed. No problems. It passed right between the wheel wells. I have 4 sets of tie downs. my only concern is the tailgate. I really don't want to use 2x12 but I will if I can't ensure the gate dropping.

Try putting a piece of 3/4 plywood in the bed, extending out to cover the tailgate. This will help reduce the load factor. Works great in my Dodge.

Re: RZR in the bed of a truck...good or bad
The plywood works too. The only reason I suggested the two 2X10's is that if you cut them to the right lenght you can shut your tailgate when not using them and it is also easier handling the 2X10's that wrestling with the sheet of heavy plywood, unless you want to leave the plywood in all the time.

Re: RZR in the bed of a truck...good or bad
Personally, for 5 years I've loaded Rangers and lately a RZR onto the tailgate simply by installing a heavy qauge tailgate protector to spread the load. No need for plywood etc.
I have had a full size Ranger hauled on the very end of the tailgate with no problem but I did take precautions by adding a second cable thus picking up two anchor support points instead of the stock one.
Cables are very strong and buying the metal folding tailgate hangers does little if any in adding strength partly because the anchor points are actually the weakest link. If done right adding a second hanger more than doubles the support partly because it is added to the furthest point of the tailgate thereby increasing leverage.
The added 'D' ring is attached (in my case) to an existing latch bolt and also to a full thread rod that ran through the entire tailgate.
Simple and cheap - cost less than $25 from a harware store.

Re: RZR in the bed of a truck...good or bad
I haul my rzr in the back of my short bed 2500 GMC. You need to tie down the ramps so they dont slip and cause the rzr to fall. My tail gate is funky from the weight. I use a wooden 2x12 setup to drive my rzr up on to and to take the weight off the tale gate. As soon as I find a trailer I am going to switch to a tow rig. It is alot safer and not so scary.
fast eddie.
