Re: Shock Question

How much additional height can we get before the CV joints bind? I'm sure there's a little safety margin built in by Polaris engineers but I'm not going to risk the joints to find out how much.

Re: Shock Question

I'd add 26" tires to get an inch more clearance and I bought Walker Evans Shocks for $1425 shipped from Badlands ATV. I set mine up so I have 11" of ground clearance with 26” Bighorns. Going taller without going wider is gonna put you on your side far too often for me. I'm at 53.5" in the rear.

Re: Shock Question

you can try hunterworks spring spacers thay should give you about an inch. ($65) i do alot of trail riding and muding. i wanted to make my rzr more stable. and give it more clearance. so i went with highlifter 2 inch lift ($259) and 27 inch mudlights mounted on -43 motorsport torq rims. this combo gave me 12 and a half inchs clearance under skid plate. i ran a small mudbog and won. but the mud was heavy and i lost some clearance and the front tire was rubbing in sharp turns. so i installed hunterworks spring spacers. this gave me a stiffer spring so tire wont rub. and i have 13 and a half inchs of clearance from front almost to back of skid plate. this tire rim combo will make your rzr alot more stable. with 27x9x12 mudlights up front and 27x12x12 on the back the rzr is 53 inchs wide in the front and 57 inchs wide in the rear. you can hit the turns alot harder. i went with 9 inch tire in front because i feel it will carv better than a 10 inch tire. im not worried about being 50 inchs wide. at 102 long if keep riding 50 inch and under trails you will damage your rzr.also rim tire combo is about the same weight as stock. my stock clutch works great. 9 inch tire also saves on weight. my picture is without spring spacer.

Re: Shock Question

We have contemplated releasing AFCO MT1 7" stroke rear and 6" stroke front shocks which in total extended lengths is 2" longer than stock and will add additional travel. We are just concerned about the long term affect to the CV Joints. We don't want the responsibility or liability. Now if some one specifically wanted to order that length shock, we can provide them.
