Lift Springs

Looking to add a little more lift. Looking at getting some lift springs since my stockers seem to sag. I am at about 13 1/2 inch of ground clearance now. What can I expect with the springs?

Re: Lift Springs

I have the highlifter springs and really like them. I'm not sure how much total clearance they will give you, but if your stockers are as bad as mine were, they will give you about 4 more inches of clearance while riding.

Re: Lift Springs

damn, if you have 13.5 in of clearance you are lucky. I have 12 in. with the roktek lift w/stock springs. I wish I had that. have you added any weight to your rzr? My springs must be sagging drastically.

Re: Lift Springs

most of the *lift* springs you will find dont really add any lift.. They are usually factory height.. Where the lift comes from is from what you have already lost with your saggy factory springs. The replacement springs are usually heavier load rated springs, so the bike does not sag as bad as stock did.
Hope this helps.

Not bad at all. You can tell just a slight difference. It is alot better in rough terrain because it doesn't bottom out on rocks and humps near as much. You will still have good suspension, just no sagging.

Re: Lift Springs

And if you don't have a spring supression tool, you might want to get the highlifter one with the kit. It will make it about a 30 minute job.

I know the tricks to squeezing a spring to remove it (zip ties spaced all around...) but how do you squeeze the new spring to reassemble the shock with no special tools?

Re: Lift Springs

Last time i took my shocks to a cycle dealer to have the highlifter springs installed, 60 bucks for two. This time i went to harbor freight (they sell on line too) and bought a set of coil spring/strut spring compressors 9.99 best investment ive done lately! I change the rears in less than a hour last night, very easy with the right tools.

I ordered them from the highlifter site, around $230 at my door. My buddy had already bought the tool from with his kit, I think its about 30 bucks extra. We changed all 4 in less than 45 minutes, thats with takin off and puttin back on.
