Re: lift kit and springs

Get the roktek lift of ebay and no you dont need springs or spacers. You will love it. It gives you clearance but doesn't max it out.

I agree with Fatboy4diesel..... I have the roktek and it is awesome. It is by far the best on the market on both quality and price.

Yes it is very easy to install. You dont need to take any plastics or tires off. Very easy and good instructions to.

Re: lift kit and springs

I found a three Rotek lift on Ebay. They say it leaves the cv joints well within safe limits. Can anyone teel me if they have the three inch kit and are the cv joint really within safe angle limits. I ride a lot of rocky areas in Arkansas and I am tired of bottoming out. I would go with the
2" lift but I have 25" BH's and do not want to buy 26" tires.

Not sure about that lift being talked about, but mine is probably the easiest to install, and defiantly the strongest with the thickest material used of any ATV/UTV lift kit ANYWHERE.

Re: lift kit and springs

I've been running my 2" Rubberdown lift pretty hard for almost a year now, and no probs at all out of it. I also have the HL springs, together they make for a much better ride; I rarely ever scratch bottom any more. I disconnected the front swaybars, as they were limiting the spring travel. I've had no prob's with hubs or axles with this setup, either *knocks on wood*

I like the idea of putting the 1.5" wheel spacers on just the rear, front wheels would still fit between wheel wells on my pick up when I have to haul it there. Are there any problems (stress) using the spacers. I don't really understand how the 2" Rubberdown lifts are installed but would love to have that extra clearance. Does disconnecting the swaybars affect the stability at all ?

Re: lift kit and springs

When you disconnect your sway bar it is for maximum articulation like rock crawling or big ruts, etc. If you wanna go fast and corner good you want it to be hooked back up. It only takes seconds to disconnect and then reconnect sway bar with the Roktek. Plus roktek uses the best steel and hardware you can find, while also supporting and adding strength to the rzr frame.

Some people were reporting problems with their front hubs when running spacers up front, so I left 'em off; you do hafta remember that sometimes the front end will fit thru a hole the back end won't make it thru (well, sorta, usually I just punch it and it'll roll up the side of the tree a little and go on thru )

Here's some pics of the rubberdown lift installed. It's the brackets between the base of the shock and the A-arm.

This one's front end.

Here's the back.

You can't see it in the pics, but there's kind've a "thumb" that sticks off for support too.

As for the swaybars, I did it for articulation; it does dive into corners and roll a lot more. Where I live, all the trails are in woods and on the edge of steep drops; mostly old logging and mining roads, so I just don't go very fast, but like having the extra articulation. We have a lot of downed trees and ruts to make it thru. The only time I'm up over about 35 is between the truck and the trails.
