Re: Front swaybar removal Pros & Cons

It's pretty easy to do--just remove the vertical tie rods connecting the front A-arms to the actual bar. If you don't like it, all you have to do is re-install those two rods.

Particularly for lower speed riding on rough trails, it really smooths out the ride.

I know how to remove them, was just wanting to hear the good and bad points of the handling characteristics without them installed.
Thx for the info tho!

Re: Front swaybar removal Pros & Cons

Pros:
Much more articulation

Cons:
Pushes in corners, have to get use to it.

If you ride rocky roads most of the time take it off, but if your the type that just likes to go fast down Forrest roads then leave it on because you'll end up tipping over.

Re: Front swaybar removal Pros & Cons

X Da C,
Thanks for the reply with pics...wow what a difference! I think I'll leave it off for hunting season and put it back on for the summertime in the dunes from the looks of it.

Re: Front swaybar removal Pros & Cons

i took mine off an love it. you just need to be a little more carefull in high speed corners. if it helps the s model doesnt have one at all. if you have spcers an wheel you probably dont need it.

Re: Front swaybar removal Pros & Cons

Took mine off several months ago, gave a couple inches more articulation on the front. It dives into corners a little more, but not enough to matter if y ou're not just totally flying.

Re: Front swaybar removal Pros & Cons

Does anyone think I could run with out it safely on the dunes? I Run vision alloy wheels in the rear with extreme paddles when I go to the dunes. The offset on the wheels gives me a wider stance (I can cut cookies at full throttle in the sand without flipping over). In the woods I am in stock trim.

Ummm...most the guys telling you to remove it are running LT. Give it a try but don't get too crazy.

Re: Front swaybar removal Pros & Cons

Remeber to switch the bolts. because the bottom bolt is to long after the swaybar is removed. An i dont even have wheels let alone lt or spacers. I havent flipped it yet.
