long travel questions
i am in ga. and only ride trails and long mx tracks. i am ordeing my long travel kit on monday and would like the opinion of someone who has 4inch and 6 inch longtravel. some of the trails are moderatly tight. i want the 6 for the travel with stock offset wheels. but i am wondering is that too wide? or should i go with a 4? if anyone has a 6 please let me know how it handles tight trails. thanks.

Re: long travel questions
I'd check out the CST +3 kit. I read a lot of good things about the kit in the Off Road Magazine no to long ago. And the price is right too, compared to the 6" kits i've seen.

Re: long travel questions
shawz metal fab +4 going on mine as we speak....and should produce numbers comparable to alot of +6 for travel and keep me narrow for gncc racing.......bill builds a nice kit and i will have pics by the end of the week and some ride time this weekend.....will be comparing to my buddies cst+3.....another advantage of = is ability to run aftermarket wheels and not be as wide as the +6 with stock wheels

Re: long travel questions
AC just wondering why you want to sell your RZR to get the RZR S. Not much more horsepower and I heard through the grapevine that the suspension on them isn't all that. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with the new S and the comparison in price. Thanks

Re: long travel questions

Re: long travel questions
gdog, my buddy and I did mine in the garage. It's all bolt on, no welding or cutting. If someone did than they didn't follow the directions in the kit. The axles were a bit of a pain but it wasn't bad at all.

Re: long travel questions
LSR +4 with Elkas here and its the shit! We fly it at the dunes regularly with ZERO failures and nothing but praise for the kit. Elka's are not cheap but IMO worth the $$$. To me if you are going to MX race then +6, for everything else +4 is more than sufficient and a good balance for trail riding.
