Re: long travel questions

i decided on the lonestar + 4 . i talked to bill a lot but have been given a great deal on the kit from tmw offroad for the mts kit with elkas. i also bought the bench seat from renegade to get my littlle girl in. i will be running the red label omfs to get a little wider if needed. i will not disclose the price but i was given the full kit and seat with shipping for less than shaws for the suspension alone. that is with a good price according to bill. i will not take anything from shaws or holz, both of these guys were more than helpful, and super friendly. i am just on a buget and its called more product for less price. props to them all but tmw took the win today. i have a cage in the works from a local friend who builds a lot of pro street cars here and he is fixing up a nice cage for me. ill post pics when finished in a week or three.

Re: long travel questions

I have not used my DFR +4 kit a whole lot yet but the kit seems great. Funny you speak of Shawz metal fab as I was supposed to drive my RZR down to him when he was looking for a RZR to fab a +6 kit. I won’t go into the story but it didn’t work out. Shawz +4 kit looks pretty good and uses heimed joints not stock balls joints. I got a deal on my kit and I’ve been really happy with the DFR guys (Darren and Jack) as they have taken care of me. Bottom line I think all these LT kits cost too much but you should be able to pick up a +4 kit for under $4K. I did.

Re: long travel questions

hope you like your purchase but shawz was the only option for me as i wanted a real long travel not a mid travel....as with most of your +4 kits......i havent measured full travel yet but should be over 13 and may push 14 with this setup and uses all heavy duty parts that i wouldnt think my truck could break..... and bill has great customer service and quality...

Re: long travel questions

Please let us know how it goes. I cant decide between the FST kit or the Shawz. It looks to me the FST kit has more streanth in the relocation of the shock towers. Not sure. I cant find any pics of the shock towers with Shawz kit.

Re: long travel questions

On the rear it is 3 pieces one long piecr for the rear of the shock tower and 2 pieces for the front of the rear shock tower. On the front it is a 2 piece shock tower. Go to the web site click on 6" Long travel. The picture on the bottom left showes the front 2 shock tower pieces to the right of them you see a 3 piece that is the rear shock tower. SMF,6"POLARIS RAZER,POLARIS RZR LONG TRAVEL,POLARIS RZR ROLL CAGES and aftermarket parts and accessories from Shaw'z Metal Fabrication, Inc.

I think for the price with all that you get was the best deal for me. Other longtravel kits with a similar price or more did not have Gorilla Axles they had extender axles and tie rods. Shawz tie rods are pretty beefy.

AZ Re: long travel questions

I think this is the best kit going but I sell Xtreme and Lonestar also.
FST will have a bargain kit with ELKAs soon I will post pics as soon as I get them.

This kit has lots of bracing front and rear and with this kit all your a-arms are bolted to the frame with 2 bolts each.

Plus shock towers front and rear.
Did I mention this LT kit was on the BAJA 500 winning RZR.
