Shock question from a newbie
Are most people happy with the stock RZR shocks or are they finding a need to upgrade to aftermarket?

Re: Shock question from a newbie
I think most folks will be fine with the stock suspension. As for my self I'm an agressive driver and the stockers were holding me back.Went to the Walker Evans shocks It was a nigth and day difference. In most cases exhaust is your best bang for the buck, not for the rzr it's SHOCKS.

Re: Shock question from a newbie
Compared to the Rhino, the stock shocks on the RZR was great, then I broke a stock shock retainer. Rubber down sells aftermarket 1” tall or stock height – I believe.
Any way at the time I need a new shock in 4 day’s to make the next ride, Polaris had the stockers on back order- went Walker Evans and have never looked back. First time I had ever bought new shocks on anything I have ridden. I must say I was not disappointed- yea its a lot of money but for5 me it was worth it.

I have been meaning to get down to Wagon Wheel for some time now. Only reason I havn't is I have so much good riding alot closer that I just have not made it a priority. I definately am planning to get there before year end and hopefully meet up with BobbyD and you for a ride. I'm looking at October right now.

Re: Shock question from a newbie
i personally hated the stock shocks and i to busted the rubber stoppers on the shocks. It always bottomed out in the dunes and i can never seem to have much ride height. I went and got the Walker Evans and i seem to be driving even faster now. i never have to slow down for woops and it makes the drive so much better. Also on the turns it helps with body role.

Re: Shock question from a newbie
I had some bottoming out issues with mine, since the shocks are set on the lowest setting, I just cranked them up two notches on just the front since thats were the bottoming out problem was occuring for me. And I havn't had problems since and it seems to be actually riding better as well less rough. I would suggest trying that first before looking into aftermarket shocks.

Re: Shock question from a newbie
How many people have split the rubber stoppers on their shocks? I don't jump at all, or even bottom out for that matter. Both the from rubber bumpers inside the coils are slit. Is this normal? I am still under warranty, should I have the dealer take care of this?

Re: Shock question from a newbie
my front bump stop broke. Seems like it is the front for everyone. Dealer would not cover under warranty. said it was abuse. I think the stock shocks will hold up for someone who wants to drive it like a golf cart. Going after market. What experience is everyone having who has just added shocks and no after market a-arms. I ride mostly woods and do no racing. Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks
Travis

Re: Shock question from a newbie
Yes, I would also suggest to just bump up your factory shocks a few notches before spending big money on aftermarket. I am happy with my factory shocks. I also ride a lot of woods and tight trails, hill climbs, and occasional jumping, but I dont feel that any aftermarket shocks would be worth the $$$ for me.......but it all depends on what you do with your rzr, I ride pretty hard and I am happy so far with the stock suspension.
