Rubberdown - Any Cons?

I know the “Pros” but what are the “Cons” of a 2-inch Rubberdown kit? I do mostly trail riding, very rocky. There are a lot of steep hills in my area and I’m worried about the machine getting too tipsy.

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

I have had excelent balance with mine. At slow speeds, when rock crawling anyway. I have dropped alot of jaws by putting my RZR in crazy angles.

So far " I " haven't experienced any cons.

Are you running at stock width?

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

I run stock width due to trail restrictions and have a 2" rubberdown on 14" wheels with 26" goodyears. I have no problems with being "tipsy", well not from the center of gravity anyway. There is a slight increase in the roll-over potential but we are supposed to be intelligent enough to recognize proper driving techniques....right

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

I think I'm sold. Sounds like your product will help me a lot with riding in New England,,, lots of rocks and roots.

My next question for you guys is should I go 2 inch or 3? I cannot increase my width because of trail restrictions.

I’m thinking of going with the two inch, I think three inches on stock width might be too much. I ride pretty fast and I flipped once so I'm a little gun shy.

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

Just put mine in today. Good job Paul, on the parts. Look well made, no matter what some may say. Went with 1.5 spacers till my tires come in.

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

I put mine on 2 days ago with the HD highlifter springs. Wow what a difference. I am still running stock tires and I feel it is a bit to narrow. I have ordered ss108's with bighorns 26x9x12 and 26x12x12, which I think will give me enough width. I took it out yesterday to an extreme rock area I had been before. Last time there I must have hit bottom 20times (good thing I had the holz skids) I knew I could'nt continue with the clearance I had. Yesterday when I went to the same area I hit nothing and the ride was better with the lift and springs. Got in a few hairy situations but never felt like I was going to tip. Hopefully it will not be too tough on the cv joints and axiles, but I think it has been great so far. I have a hunters edition sportsman 500 with about 13.5 clearance and never had a problem with it. Right now I am about 12 with the rzr and with the tires I should be close to that. Great product Paul.

Thanks
