Last time there I must have hit bottom 20times (good thing I had the holz skids) I knew I could'nt continue with the clearance I had. Yesterday when I went to the same area I hit nothing and the ride was better with the lift and springs. Got in a few hairy situations but never felt like I was going to tip. Hopefully it will not be too tough on the cv joints and axiles, but I think it has been great so far. I have a hunters edition sportsman 500 with about 13.5 clearance and never had a problem with it. Right now I am about 12 with the rzr and with the tires I should be close to that. Great product Paul.

Thanks
Thanks for the in-depth feedback.

I'm thinking about buying wheel spacers and I'll take them on and off depending on the trail restrictions. They’re as easy as taking a tire on and off right?

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

Hey Paul,
I got the package today. I had everything on in no time, it was as easy as everyone said. I went from 9.25 to 11.25. Thanks for making a great product.

I'm thinking about doing the spring spacers next. I'm assuming a coil compressor is needed?

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

be careful with the spring spacers. they're great unless you put on the Hilifter springs with them....blew my shocks out with that combo. The HL springs were worth more than the spacers (which I had at first), IMO

If you go with just the spacers, go to Advance or AutoZone and they'll let you borrow a MacPherson strut spring compressor for a $40 "deposit"....you either keep the tool and lose the $40 or just take it back when you're done. They did make a big difference in ground clearance, and I liked them, but they were just too much compression with the HL springs.

Glad you like it, and yes a spring compressor tool is required for the spacers.

DoctahB, thanks for the feedback, its good to hear things like this so i can help future customers, thanks

I just love the rubberdown lift. HOWEVER.
I got the dreaded click from the right front axle, and when I went to M&M Performance in Kelowna, they looked at it, said it needs a new CV shaft, and declined to make the repair on warranty. Their reason, and I quote ""Wheel bearings are good. Front right CV shaft is clicking as a direct result of the lift kit that has been installed."" end quote.
Now I'm stuck with making the repair myself. You can be sure that if there is ANY POSSIBLE way that I can make this and any other repairs without using Polaris POS parts, I will.
Does anybody have any good ideas where I can get replacement parts which will work with the rubberdown lift?
I have 350 miles on my quad, and it has NEVER been abused in any way.
I am sad and disappointed with Polaris. I have owned many quads and motorcycles in my time, and have NEVER had to have any kind of warranty. To have these wasters deny coverage on this pretext makes my blood boil. If it hadn't been that, no doubt they would have got me on the interior light I installed.

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

Quadder, duid you read that link I posted on my forum from this forum, that clicking might not be a CV, and if the dealer is the one that said its the CV, I would question it after you do read that thread from here on clicking and greasing the front end..... This is however just a suggestion before you go and spend a couple hundered on a new CV joint.

Re: Rubberdown - Any Cons?

The only problem that I had out of my rubberdown lift was convincing the wife that I needed larger rims and tires to go with it!!!
