New Rzr Product --> Heavy Duty Aluminum Hubs

The guys at FST Motorsports just told me that they have these ready to sell for RZRs

Made out of 7075 T-651 Heat-treated Aluminum

Uses factory studs and rotor hardware, front hubs bolt on rotor like the rears do.

$400 a pair

Yes, I know, pics would be nice.

In the meantime, Call FST Motorsports

Very nice; thanks.
This is the kind of product (ie. the bolt-on strengthening parts from Holz) that a company cleans up on while others invest in who appears to have the most 'bling bling'.

There must be a lot of folks out west who spend their money first on pimpin' ...before making certain what that what is underneath is indeed sound in the first place! (not a slam; simply an observation).

Is this a torque specification issue in regards to the fastener which keeps the wheel hub in place itself, or the studs? In other words, is the factory not tightening either of these items properly; have they given us a bad torque spec. or are the hubs just plain junk?
Thanks for your help,

John

Two things make sure the concave washer or washers is in the correct position and the aluminum hub seems to compress because they will come loose in extreme conditions with the cotter pin in place!!

Is the Rhino bolt pattern 4/110?

Benhoops, 4/110 is the Rhino pattern. Same as most Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha hubs.

There is a wheel spacer available that converts the Polaris 156 to 110.

What would be the advantage of switching to a 4/110 pattern? Most people that will buy hubs already have tire and wheel set up's for the 4/156.

Yamaha managed to bring these sportier UTVs to market first and (unfortunately) have now unintentionally dictated a market driven 'standard' in this pattern. All of the guys with earlier release Rzrs (along with enough coin for the latest in aftermarket goodies) were forced to buy only Rzr to Rhino spacer patterns for their larger wheel/tire combos...and we'll probably see this forced conversion continue in the forseeable future for the sake of 'inventory convenience' on most supplier's part.(obviously, I am not speaking for LoneStar or anybody else).

I feel your pain, my friend; as many of us bought these Rzrs with the intention of not making the same mistake that we did with the Rhinos...and that is being forced to spend big bucks to make them not only fun(ner), but dependable.(these kind of supposed 'forced switches' would afford us absolutely nothing towards that end; as all of us have perfectly good OEM steelie wheels on hand).

Good question, btw....I guess that we'll just have to wait and see how the 'little guy' fares on this one. (not all of us live in the 'land of milk and honey' out there in the southwest...).

Hey, you can at least get a 'spacer' in this pattern...if not an answer to your earlier question that we tried to help you with....

Re: New Rzr Product --> Heavy Duty Aluminum Hubs

I have two sets of tires for my Rhino. One is light duty dune, dirt (Carlilse 489). The other has OMF bead locks and 26" Bighorns. I'd like to have the same bolt pattern between the Rhino & RZR so I can swap around depending on what I am taking and where I am going.
