Re: pics of fireballs stuff
Is there any legitimate discussion happening out there on the net regarding the differences(?) between not only all the various shock manufacturers (quality vs price vs design) but the various aftermarket guys putting out these LT kits?
I think that some of us out here are interested in the engineering, geometry and or 'reasoning' behind these various designs and more importantly...why exactly any one company feels that their product stands apart from the others in terms of long-term affect on the other components (back again to geometry).
Also, is anybody out there working on improving the ride, suspension, or handling for the stock 50" machines with nobody in the side-by-side (cough) 'community' evidently giving a damn that many trails are restricted to 50"...and most likely always will be due to the lack of meaningful organization year-after-year? (sorry, but I'm kind of getting tired of the 'let's just get together and party' attitude that we've witnessed to date).

Re: pics of fireballs stuff
this reply is for blackballed
i would think if you wanted a better stock ride the most important thing u could do would be shocks and spring combos and there are many shock companys that have somthing to offer the consumer We at fireball found that micro touch worked with us to find what we thought was best combo and match for our kit and it was the bilstiens... i would make stock arms that were better but i have not yet had call for them.. lonestar has mid travel kit thats very nice so we thought just like the rhino a plus six would be good to offer.. so far as geomertry ive done some home work on this and its looks good to me..

I wouldn't expect stock-based kits out of the aftermarket for obvious legitimate reasoning related to demand....and only threw in my commentary regarding the 'let's just party' atmoshphere we're saddled with in this so-called community...to explain just why we have restricted 50" trails in the first place throttling this market.
As for truly comparing all these various LT products side-by-side and/or intelligently discussing just what works long term out there and what is simply cobbled together or copycatted...I guess that I'm actually the only one out here interested in getting into these kind of discussions with that kind of money (evidently) on the line in these kits.
Thanks for your response and (sincerely) the best of luck with your product,
John

Hey, maybe all these LT kits truly are built/designed the same; pretty much use the same components and should actually be bought on price alone... (again, justy trying to spawn meaningful discussion on perhaps the most expensive basic mod now out there...and it's obviously not working ).

Re: pics of fireballs stuff
I'm not going to spend a dime on one of these kits until I can ride one and see just how much "better" it is even over the stock unit (which I happen to like at this point).
The 50" mark isn't that important to me BUT that's a lot of coin for guys just throwing the stuff out and saying "BUY ME".
But it does look good!!

Re: pics of fireballs stuff
I'm in the market for a LT kit but all of the different mfg's and options is mind blowing. I'm leaning towards Lonestar. I mainly ride the dunes and the mx track in the summer I havn't gotten a chance to ride in a LT RZR but my LT mini rail was incredible.

Re: pics of fireballs stuff
I happen to own the rzr with fireball's prototype kit. It's sweet. I took it to Mexico and rode 400 miles of baja with no problems. It has increased ground clearance to 14 inches, which the rzr needs. Cornering is phenominal, you can slide sideways without the fear of flipping. It handles regular sized whoops well. It didn't do any worse than a motorcycle on the giant 4 foot deep Mexican sand whoops.
It also rock crawls like a jeep, except not so slow. I took it up a local mountian trail with ease, and without hitting the skid plate.
Fireball addressed a factory problem too. The steering turns so tight that the CV joints bind on the axles. I have seen people on other forums asking about popping on the front end of RZRs. That is what is is, and I had marks on my stock axles from the binding.
I have about 600 miles on the fireball suspension kit so far. I love it, and I would recomend it.
BTW, I am not another fireball guy. I have a few friends with fireball's rhino kits, and some with yamaha and honda quad parts. I was introduced to them by a local sherriff deputy. He heard I had an rzr on order, and told fireball, and fireball couldn't wait for the oportunity to improve this thing.
If anyone knows how to reduce the file size of a pic, let me know and I'll try to post some. Otherwise, Ted has my machine for the week, and he'll post something.
