Lifting Rzr With shocks
What are the problems associated with lifting the rzr with longer shocks, assuming they fit, vs. Lifting spacers. I will put on wider wheels to help combat the "tipiness" of being higher, and disconnect the sway bar. Thanks.

Re: Lifting Rzr With shocks
I would assume it would be fine. You are basically doing the same thing as shock spacers. The only thing I can see that it would hurt would be your pocket book for the shocks. Remeber that just because you can turn the preload up on the aftermarket shocks, doesnt mean the shock is longer. If you run the shock at near its longest position, it will be topping out , and making your ride and handeling awfull. You would need a longer shock, not just an adjustable one. By using the shock spacers, you are keeping the shock travel where it is supposed to be. Hope that made sense.

Re: Lifting Rzr With shocks
I was thinking of getting some small truck shocks revalved. Maybe an 18.5" shock, stockers are 16.5" I think. You can pick those up for $400 all day. Either way I want something I can take through the mud and rockcrawling that can easly be changed.

I agree. I wonder how the shock spring spacers work out. You would think the shock would be close to its max length.

Re: Lifting Rzr With shocks
yes, that is probably true, if you went with very big spacers.

Re: Lifting Rzr With shocks
We did some testing with longer shocks ( overall 2" longer). What we found is that at full droop, the rear cv's bind. We don't know how the lift kit guy's are claiming that there is no bind while using a 2" lift kit. That is why we don't offer a package, even though we have the shocks that could do it.
