Re: LONG TRAVEL Numbers

+3 = 3 inches wider than stock per side so a +3 kit is 6 in wider
and if you see a +3 +2forward = 3 in wider and 2 in longer wheel base

Re: LONG TRAVEL Numbers

Like Johnny said +3 is 3" wider than stock EACH side So 6" Overall wider. Alot of Kits are +6, 2 forward and 1 back So that would be a Foot wider overall Wheelbase moved 2" forward on the front 1" back on the rear for 3" longer wheel base.....Hope that helps

Re: LONG TRAVEL Numbers

Thanks guys, you explained it well! Now, for the second question.....what are the advantages of doing a Long Travel kit? Does it give you any lift?

Re: LONG TRAVEL Numbers

you can set it up for more ground clearance, or you can set it low and lean for racing. ITs all up to you and how you want to preload the springs..... The main Benift is Longer arms so ALOT more stability, and Double the suspension Travel and MUCH better Quality Shocks to soak up the rough stuff.....BTW we have a few different kits here for sale....members get a discount

Re: LONG TRAVEL Numbers

You also get the benefit of more wheel travel and stronger a-arms in total. Long travel is the way to go once you ride in a car with it there will be no question in your mind.

Is smothier a word? LOL

You can also use wheel spacers and different offset wheels to change your width, but long travel arms give you a smoother (or smothier for Johnny) ride.
