Re: 2 inch lift for my rzr....

mudweiser i looked at rubberdowns kit and i think its junk. go with highlifter its built alot stronger. I will tell you that i did have a install problem where the front lift block bolts to the a-arm. It did not line up. the bolt hole was of just a small amount. all you have to do is run a drill through and it will line up. I was pissed at first but when i got done i was ok with it. the worst thing that could happen is that i would have to replace a-arm. you wont have to replace a-arm i just said that to myself and went for it. the kit installs quickly i dident even have to remove wheels. all you get in the rubberdown kit is a chunck of steel with three holes drilled in it. not vary strong. highlifter gives you a lift block. if you go to members rides and look at mdevans pics you can see the lift block.

Re: 2 inch lift for my rzr....

mudweiser dont forget about hunterworks front spring spacers. there only $65 and if you go on his web he has a vidio on how to install them. if you do highlifter lift and spring spaces with 27 inch tires you will have about 13 inch's of clearance under skid plate. my rzr still handles great if you go much higher it wont handle in turns as well. I will be putting my rzr to the test on the april 2008 trip to black moumtain. I would like to put HD springs from highlifter on the back or i might try hunterworks spring spacer on the rear springs. this should give me about 14 inch's. but i want to see how a full day of riding go's before i do that. 13 inch's for $324 is a good deal for a strong kit.

I just put on the Hunterworks front spring spacers and rear wheel spacers , and my new Highlifter springs just came in. I'm planning on doing the Ranger Prolift 2" lift kit... It's about $140 and has good reviews. Only downside is the website only accepts Pay Pal or checks by mail.

Re: 2 inch lift for my rzr....

I have to say that I have spoke to a lot of people who have the rubberdown lift and everyone loves it, including myself.

mdevans is the first person that I have seen who didnt like it.

I have 0 affilation with rubberdown, but believe in letting people know of a good product when I find one.

Re: 2 inch lift for my rzr....

Well....I got a nice e-mail from a very nice person tonight letting me know that I was being trashed for no reason so I just had to come and see for myself.

First of all, guys, great forum, I'll have to look further but so far it looks great. I have "lurked" a few times but just havent had the time to register until now.

Anyone that has stood up for me that has got my kit and knows my customer service, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, it speaks volumes for who you are as a person.

As for Mr. mdevans, I do not know you, nor have I ever sold a lift kit to someone with a username of mdevans. I keep track of user names and forums that my customers frequent so I can remember (or try to remember) who they are and where I might find them on the net in case I need to get in touch with them for feedback, advice, anything really. And your name does not ring a bell. There was however 1 single customer I had to deal with that left a rather sour taste in my mouth by the time everything had finished up between us. That being said, I can almost guess who YOU are and that YOU might ride for a highlifter team. If not, then I am mistaken, but as I said, the name mdevans is not in my records anywhere. Your real name is not avvailable in your profile so again, I do notknow who YOU really are.

Now you have the HL kit, thats great, enjoy, I hope it works great for you and your needs. I'm not about to start comparing products with you unless your name is Scott and you own HL, and since thats not likely the case, I'll keep my trap shut on my opinions in the differences between my kit and the HL kit (or any other kit for that matter) as I'm sure all of them are decent and functional.

All the best,

Paul

Re: 2 inch lift for my rzr....

Sorry rubberdown let me reword myself. Mudweiser the rubberdown lift kit is not as strong or built as well as the highlifter lift kit. All you need to do is look at both kits its vary obvious that the highlifter kit is much stronger. As for me being a highlifter rider NO im not. but you could tell scott that he can find me on rzrforms if he wants me to put the highlifter lift to the test with the rubberdown lift. I forgot you all ready said that you dident want to put your money where your mouth is.

Re: 2 inch lift for my rzr....

I stand behind my kit 110% as I'm sure any manufacturer would do the same, I simply said I'm not about to get into a pissing contest on who makes a better kit, and from my experiance, that is the more "adult" way to handle a situation like the one you are trying to create.

As far as stength goes, my kit was tested by a very large guy (No offence Bigdog, your just a big man is all LOL) that rides on a race team in Wisconsin, and he pounded the crap out of it for me with zero complaints, and not a single person to my knowledge has had any problems with the strength of my products. My kit is machined from solid steel, not channel or tubing or stamped out plate, its machined from SOLID. Almost 20 years in a machine shop might have taught me a thing or 2 LOL.

Anyways, enjoy your purchase, lets agree to disagree on who makes a better kit okay, after all, we are all entitled to an opinion.

Have a good night.

Sorry, 1 more question, if you have never purchased my kit, what facts do you have, or what proof do you have to make such a bold statement on my kits strength or design??? Just curious where you got this information from, thats all.

Re: 2 inch lift for my rzr....

common sense rubberdown common sense. I never said your kit was weak. I just said that it wasent as strong as highlifters. dont get me started because i can prove that a highlifter kit is stronger than your kit. people like your kit and im ok with that but the highlifter kit is stronger. let it go and have a nice night.
