Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
Anyone tried the Lonestar MTS +4 kit with the stock shocks.
I plan on doing trail and woods riding only,no jumping
What does everyone think do I need the Elka's?

LSRGREG was telling me it will bottom out no matter what type of riding you do if you use stock shocks

Re: Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
Ya I spoke to someone at LSR on the phone and got the same answer.Just wondered if anyone had tried it and how it was.
It's alot of money to shell out at once since I plan on buying they're cage at the same time.
I may just go with some non-resi Elkas for shocks

There are several choices when buying ELKAs. By the we just lowered some of the LSR pricing on the web site the MTS kit pricing went down a little plus you get and RFN discount.

Re: Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
just installed a fireball racing LT suspention 6" over had to install stock shocks for a couple of days while wating for king shocks to be delivered, had maybe 8" ground clearance w/ stock shocks, after kings were installed had 12" clearance, stock shocks were way to soft with long travel kit

Re: Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
i am putting the walker evans fron polaris on mine ....and may do the mts later but lsrgreg said that didnt know about the setup on the factory accessory shocks by polaris as he didnt know they were offered......anybody know the specs....best i can get is the 250lb springs from eibach,,,,but dont know anything about the valving etc......i bought mine with a big pre-season order at the shop and got a big discount so i had to try them anyway........now if i could only get my hpd cam and a feul box i will be ready to finish the mechanical side of it.....i havent even rode the thing yet....

Re: Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
since i haven't actually driven a rzr with stock shocks and our kit, i can't say for sure.. but when i can push down on the front bumper, and almost get the car to bottom out with the stock shocks..i don't think driving it for anything more than cruising the neighborhood is really in the cards.
Elka has shocks starting around 1600 or 1700 for the complete set..

Re: Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
Can you put stiffer springs on the stock shocks to prevent it from bottoming out so you can use the stock shocks?

Re: Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
Why do you want to run the stock shocks?
I have a brand new +4 kit with fox shocks, stainless brake lines, chromolly a-arms, front and rear axles, and tie rod extenders that I will sell to you for $4800.00 shipped.
