Re: Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
Interested on these answers too - as I have the LSR +4 kit and am looking for shock options.
Do all the vendors here also have RFN discounts on their shocks? I'm trying to find a decent mid level shock set up.

I have a brand new +4 kit with fox shocks, stainless brake lines, chromolly a-arms, front and rear axles, and tie rod extenders that I will sell to you for $4800.00 shipped.

I don't want to run the stock shocks but I'm not about to bust the plastic out. I just want to pay cash and that's all I have...

Re: Lonestar MTS +4 w/stock shocks?
Elka, Fox, Bilstein and Works Performance all have shocks specifically designed for our +4 MTS kits. I have personally tested with all of those brands and they all work really well. I am pretty sure Makin Tracks has a set up for the Affco shocks, and i know lots of people have been using the Walker Evans shocks as well, but i don't have any personal expirence with those, but i hear they work really well.
Pricing ranges anywhere from about $1600 a set to $4500 a set for all the different brands.
I don't know of anyone making stiffer shocks for the stock springs, but there might be someone. But you are relying on luck that they will work good. In my opinion, its best to go with a shock that is specifically set up for the a-arms for the best performance. These kits cost lots of money, and there is no sense in not getting the best performance you can get for your dollar. And upgrading later is ok too.. just know that with the stock shocks you aren't going to be very happy.
All of the dealers on here that carry our kits have shocks that are specifically for our kits, so hit them up for the best deals and special RFN discounts.
