which LT suspension to get

i am wanting to step up the ride quality on my rzr, I already jump it way to far and go way to fast in the whoops. i have been considering just getting some shocks, lookling at afcos, WER, and I shocks. but I am also considering just bitting the bullet and going full long travel. I do like the narrow width of my rzr for some things, i have it spaced and offset to about 55 inches and i am worried about getting to wide for the narrow atv trails at the dunes.

the long travel kits I am looking at are the CST and Lonestar for the narrow width but i have also looked at the bigger kits the +6s from fireball and maybe the new one from ishock. i really want to spend less then $4k on it

what are peoples opinions on just shocks how much travel increase do you get from shocks only?? should i just step up and get long travel

We stock the LSR Mid and have the LSR XTR on order and we have FST
which is the strongest kit IMHO.

id recommend our kit.. for obvious reason.

+6" 14" of travel. walker evans 16way adjustable shocks. 4340 heat treated axles. arms. shocks. hardware. powder coated our choice of color $5175.

and we have 32 kits out there running around, and at least 5 board members that i know of with our kit, and have never had 1 complaint.

Re: which LT suspension to get

RMD you will not get any amount of travel increase by replacing the stock shocks with new shocks. What you will do is use the travel that you have more efficiently. You will also be able to adjust the shocks more so you can set the travel up specifically for what kind of terrain your riding on. I am intersted what people have to say in response to your post becuase i am in close to the same position you are in. I have also heard that through a long travel kit with the supposed weak steering linkage of the RZR people are experiencing a lot of bump steer and drift through whoops section or rocky terrain not sure if this is something that can be fixed by a steering stablizer of sorts or if the LT kits directly effect it. This is hear say information as i do not have a LT kit so take it as you will.

Re: which LT suspension to get

I am a fan of the Mid travel kits. A person can start with Stock replacement shocks. Then if the extra travel is wanted/needed, You can just buy a mid-travel kit and use the shocks you already have. You may or may not need to change the springs is all.

jajl22 - weak steering linkage or the lack of a steering stabilizer is not the cause or the reamedy for bump steer. Bump Steer is in the Geometry. Any kit that has excessive bump steer that causes drift should be stayed away from. There are some very good LT kits out there that have very minimal bump steer. Stick to them

I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU CAN SELL, AND HOW MUCH IT WILL COST, TO JUST PURCHASE THE LOWER FRONT A-ARM BRACE FROM THE FST KIT. I ALREADY HAVE A MAFIA 6'' OVER KIT AND JUST WANT TO BRACE IT UP A LITTLE MORE. I HAVE A HOLTZ REAR LOWER OUTER CHASSIS BRACE, BUT WOULD BUY ANY OTHER BRACE THAT CAN BE USED WITH WHAT I HAVE.
THANKS, JASON.

Re: which LT suspension to get

i have placed my order for some replacement afco mt2 shocks.

i am not sure on the width i want yet, i have been really happy with running some 1 inch spacers and wheels with more offset. i like it because i have 4 different widths available depending on my wheel and spacer combo. it is wide enough to be stable and i can keep it narrow enough to get onto trails, or even go back to stock for mountain trails.

i will ride it for a little while and then see if the replacement shocks keep me happy and if not then i will add either cst arms or lsr arms.

thanks for all the help on the phone steve and i look forward to bombing the dunes on my new shocks

Dave
