Hello from Qtzsite AZ, we're snowbirds like most everybody else in town, and have been having a great time riding our new RZR around this area....we had been riding our big quads for years here, but are now taking the RZR on some of the same trails, with a new perspective and enjoyment. We are here from Nov-April, and would welcome anyone looking for a little adventure and fun!!!
Hi Geezer, ...we are usually here till mid April, then head north to Oregon....Please call me when you are in Quartzsite so Linda and i call show you around and take you out on some rides...626-222-2052 phil

We take our RZR's to Parker the first week of February every year for the Parker 425... I'd love to learn about more trails around Parker other than the wash that runs east out of town... Already know about that...
My friend and his wife are recent fulltime RVers currently staying in Yuma AZ.
I'm thinking about driving down for 4 to 5 days at the end of March. He wants to do some riding.
He has a Yamaha quad and I have a 12 800 S.
Would your area be a good choice?
I don't know what the riding is like in Yuma but it's pretty good here in Quartzsite and we recently found a very picturesque area just north/west of Parker 35 miles north of Quartzsite. It has sand washes, red rock canyons, hills to climb and great views of rugged mountains. It looked like something Disney would use for a theme park.

I would appreciate everyone's help. I have finished the design, production and testing of a shift lock for the RZR's. PRICE IS UNDER $30.00 (dollars)
I am in the patent stage now.
It's simple to install in less than a minute.
comes with lock and key.
It is not perfect but it will stop 75% of RZR thefts.
Most thefts of RZR's are when someone just gets in the drivers seat puts it in neutreal and they they are pushed away from where you left it. Or a tow strap is used. Most of the time in plain sight of many people.
If you park it on a hill, it makes it all the easier for a thief to steal.
push it down the hill out of sight and it's gone.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS SOMETHING THE RZR WORLD CAN USE>
Nice vid. Looks like a nice place to ride. Won't be to long before the
wife and I start checking into this type of living for the winter months.
Thanks for the post. Tim
....we were out again and enjoyed a fun ride...scrambled up and over Preacher's Pass, looped around the mountain to the Southern Cross Mine,...stopped to see a couple of General Patton's old Army camps, then cross-countryed a little back to the Sunkist RD....
...Thanks to the power of the internet and this forum, 6 of us made new friends, and got out for a fun ride and adventure today. We headed out across the valley thru the old tank firing range, past a revived gold mine (first load coming out was about 780 oz., we stayed out of shotgun range), but Ralph managed to get a big stick to puncture his new Bighorn rear tire....we all chipped in plugs, glue, a compressor, and had the tire repaired in no time (...and the plugs held for the rest of the ride). we followed the foothills and had to climb out of a steep wash that brought a smile to everybody's face. We were treated to a long scenic trail along a ridge that eventually brought us to Diablo Canyon, which is a fun trip down a narrow wash climbing in and out of the sandy bottom and rocky sides....we ran into several other riders in there and all were having fun!....i didn't take too many pictures, so maybe Gary, Ralph, Ron, or Daryl and his buddy may post a few.....we planning on riding the "Hogsback" this week....
We also like the riding in Quartzsite area. Were there for about 3 weeks Jan-Feb with a nice group for riding. Took the Hogback then crossed under the I-10 and rode to Brenda for a late lunch. Can't say enough about the area. Try to get over to the KOFA for some riding... nice are also.
Folks,
I'm here to tell you we've been having a ball. I put out feelers a couple weeks ago for anybody in the Quartzsite area that would take a newbee to the area out and show us around. Mrfastphil offered, and has been an excellent trail guide. He knows the area well, and is happy to share his knowledge. We've been on three rides in the past week, covered about 140 miles, and seen some sights. Was even able to view and get pictures of a 7/8's curl big horn ram, what a sight.
Quartzsite is a great place to ride. Anything from sandy washes, rocky canyons, wide open desert roads, mountain vistas, about anything you could ask for. Best part, all these are on the same ride. Couldn't ask for more.
Gary, Ralph, AlaGeezer, and myself headed out into the Quartzsite outback...we passed the Mail Box Stone Cabin, headed up and over the Hogsback, found our way to Dripping Springs, and took a pretty good trip by Elephant Mt, some old mines, and the Rock House....a good time was had by all!!!
... today Linda and i got a chance to see some new backcountry, and were treated to some beautiful scenery in the KOFA's....although we only rode about 56 miles, we will be studying the maps to see more of the area in maybe a couple hundred milers...
