Arizona Trail Widths - Mogollon etc

I'm deciding between the Rzr and Rzr S. Are there Az riding areas that are 50" limited? Anything in the Rim limited to 50" widths? Any other Az considerations?

Re: Arizona Trail Widths - Mogollon etc

I have a +3 kit and 1.5" spacers that make me just about the same as a "S" and I haven had any issues yet. Haven't been on the rim but Flag, Sedona, Crown King and many others with no prob. If the S was available when I bought mine I would have gone with it.

I have been offroadig in Arizona for 30 years. I have never come across a restricted trail. Some are tight but not restricted.

Re: Arizona Trail Widths - Mogollon etc

In the white mountains (unit 1) in the springerville area there are a few trails that have the 50" restriction on them but that is the only place in AZ. that I have seen this myself.

I agree with dhc, the only ones I have seen are in the OHV system near Springerville.

Re: Arizona Trail Widths - Mogollon etc

I dug around online and found a brochure with an AZ Game and Fish map. Nothings specific on widths or Rim riding. Payson looks dry for off road riding. Another website mentions 'Rolls' and 'Bulldog Canyon' but they aren't near the Rim.

Re: Arizona Trail Widths - Mogollon etc

Found another site with a bunch of AZ sites. It shows one Mogollon Rim riding location. I guess the other link showed this too.

1) Long Draw OHV Route

Arizona OHV Trails & OHV Maps OHV Places to Ride and Areas in Arizona

No mention of trail width restrictions.
