Places to ride around Yuma?

I'm heading to Yuma for 8 days next week and want to do some good riding down there. What's close to it and fun? Dunes, desert, or just good ol' trails, I want to do whatever I can when i'm there. Thanks!

How about Ogilby? It's only 17 miles away from Yuma and its easy to get to. Pull it up on Google maps and check it out.

Re: Places to ride around Yuma?

Looks like a cool place! Is there anywhere else around Yuma that doesn't have dunes? I'm taking my brother whos still an amature rider and he might be a puss at the dunes. Lol

You could go to Quartzite for some trail riding but it is about 2 hours from Yuma. I have a buddy in Yuma who has a small MX course in his back yard thats probably good for 20-30 mins of fun.

There are also some roads/trails in the mountain pass along I-8 just east of Yuma that you could drive up to the radio tower thats up there.

Lots of off road trails and washes on the north side of Instate 8 going north, you do need a off road Arizona permit, it a fun area.

Re: Places to ride around Yuma?

Martinez Lake about 35 miles north of Yuma on 95, Park by the store and ride south of the road that you come in on from 95. Nice riding and you might even see some Desert Bighorns. Swanney
