Re: Lost trails of windrock.

I'm heading up to Windrock the end of September. Someone said they don't allow camping there anymore. That you have to make reservations at some park? Last time I was there we camped out right up from the snack shack. Whats the deal with this?

First I've heard of that but just living down the road I've never camped there. Me and a friend went riding yesterday and there were only about 4 or 5 trucks in the parking area and nobody in the camping area (camping sign still there). I find it hard to believe that you would have to have reservations to camp. Windrock buisness is down real low. I couldn't believe how few people were there. We rode for 12hours on common trails and didn't see a soul. Extremly dust and dry as a bone even the waterfall on trail 16 is all dried up.

Re: Lost trails of windrock.

Ok I just found out that no camping is allowed at the trail head after may. I made reservations at windrock campground for the 26th thru the 29th. If any locals will be there then that would be great. I myself have never been there so I have no clue on the "good trails" so a home town tour would be awesome.
