Re: Gncc Utv Update

Can You explain the classes to me for the four rounds for the UTV's. Looks as if you cannot do anything if your going to run in the Production or Stock class..

Re: Gncc Utv Update

i would definitely race in one, but all of them are waaay too far for a 1 day ride/race. we drive to TN a couple times a year, but we at least get to ride a few days....

I am going to try and hit them all!
701-850cc LIMITED

Here you go, found this:

UTV Racing Information

Thursday, February 07, 2008

You've got UTV Questions and we've got answers. Here are details:

We will hold four UTV races, and we will calculate points to create a series' champion.

The series kicks off at the Big Buck GNCC in Union, South Carolina on April 12, continues at the Mountain Ridge GNCC in Somerset, Pennsylvania on July 5, and concludes with the Power Line Park GNCC on October 11 and the Ironman GNCC on October 25. Each race will run for 60 minutes and begin at 4:30 p.m.

The UTV Series will feature four classes, the same ones used at the Ironman last October. The classes are:

0-700 cc Limited (Stock, allows for changes to tires, wheels, bumpers and skid plates, air box and exhaust. No suspension or internal motor modifications allowed—no motor modifications besides airbox/filter and exhaust)

0-700cc Modified (Production Rule, must be matching engine/frame combination. Engine and suspension modifications legal)

701-850cc Limited (Stock, allows for changes to tires, wheels, bumpers and skid plates, air box and exhaust. No suspension or internal motor modifications allowed—no motor modifications besides airbox/filter and exhaust)

701-850cc Modified (Production Rule, must be matching engine/frame combination. Engine and suspension modifications legal)

All classes require a driver and passenger, but driver switches during the race are not permitted. Starts will be dead engine. Seatbelts and roll cages are required on all vehicles, and foot restraints or doors are required on all machines.

The new series will run the machines on real GNCC terrain, including trees and wooded trails, mud, hills and high-speed field sections. Maneuverability and durability proved key at the Ironman UTV race last fall.

We're still looking for advice on when to race the machines. We know we will do it Saturday afternoon, but should it be 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m. or 5 p.m.? And for how long? 45 minutes or an hour?

Give us your thoughts: info@gnccracing.com

Re: Gncc Utv Update

I'm not sure on the age (16) ??? Boots are not mandatory, riding boots are a little stiff, a good steel toe boot should be fine. I dont think spcers will be an issue. I cant wait till april, it's going to be a blast. Still only have 37 miles on my rzr. It's been in the garage getting ready to go.
