Re: DFR 4 Point Harnesses

Look at the Jettrim seats that have the slots for the DFR belts. I had a set made for my RZR and they are awesomely comfortable and really help keep us in place.

Re: DFR 4 Point Harnesses

I love the DFR harnesses. The sternum clip keeps the top right where it should be without being extremely tight. Its amazing how different the ride is when your back and butt arent bouncing off the seat!!!

Re: DFR 4 Point Harnesses

I just installed mine and really like the belts. Installation is straight forward and quick. A couple suggestions to those adding these and Jordan as well, go out and buy all new hardware for the installation. The factory 7/16" fasteners will work but they pull the belt tight against the plastic cover on the RZR and create a possible rub spot. I realize that they don't move when tightened up, but the belt itself moves at the anchor point and rubs slightly on the plastic. I used a longer 7/16" Grade 8 fastener and added a flat washer between the anchor plate and the RZR anchor. This pulls the belt out away from the plastic and eliminates any possibility of a rub.

Add to the kit;
4 - 7/16" x 1 1/2" Grade 8 Bolt
4 - 7/16" Nyloc Grade 8 Nut
12 - 7/16" Flat Washers

+1...I mentioned the same thing in my install post.

Didn't want to wear through the belts.

Re: DFR 4 Point Harnesses

I did some "Field Testing" down in Moab this weekend. I really like these belts. The way the shoulder harness is stitched to the lap belt make getting in and out easy and quick. The chest clip keeps the shoulder harness in place and I never felt too confined or too loose.

Re: DFR 4 Point Harnesses

Are the plastic rivets easy to pop off of the fenders? I am almost ready to install these harnesses ( once the PRP seats get here) and just wanted to ask before I start anything.
Thanks for the step by step information.

Are you referring to the flares? If so, flares just require a T-25 Torx. There is also a few bolts underneath for the lower side panel, that one you unbolt them, helps to remove the stock seat belt bolt.

Re: DFR 4 Point Harnesses

gdog - Did you put any extra washers on the inside of the seat belt latch? It seems that the belt rubs up against the bracket? I did put the extra washers in the "frame" bolt.
Thanks again for this thread - it helped alot!

Re: DFR 4 Point Harnesses

Yeah...I added some washers on both sides to keep the belts from rubbing on the frame and keep it from wearing. Not sure it would wear or not..but figure better safe then sorry.

Re: DFR 4 Point Harnesses

Do you know if it is okay to use a regular grade 8 nut and lock washer, instead of a nylon lock nut? I have went to 6 places and not one place has the nylon lock nuts!
