Re: cannot pull the seat belt to buckle it!

Very common. They get dust and mud, and crud in them. I use the garden hose at pressure in mine, while jerking on them untill they release, and then keep the hose in there while unrolling the entire seat belt a couple times. Once you have them free, repeate process with WD40. I did this one time when they were fairly new, and havent touched them since. Or you can throw them in the trash, and buy some harnesses.

I haven't had a problem with mine but I do use them quite a bit and hose them down during cleaning, lucky I guess.

Re: cannot pull the seat belt to buckle it!

I had the same problem after my first ride..the passenger side worked but not mine..went home and clean the rzr and then both wouldn't work..its in the shop now for blown rings, and we told them about the seat belts, they said they haven't heard of problems with them but would replace them

I had the same thing to happen to me when I bought mine so I trashed them and bought harnesses....those inertia locks in them suck because they clog up with dirt. then if you remove them and they roll up, you're toast because they will NOT roll back out.

My Passenger Side Also Did The Same Thing
I Talked To The Dealer And He Told Me There Was At Least 5 That He Had Recently Do The Same Thing.

I just went through this same problem with the passenger side seat belt. Thank god I remembered viewing this thread. I also finally worked the seat belt free with the pressure washer. Then pulled it all the way out & washed the crap out of the inside (lots of dirt & mud). With the belt still out, I laced the inside with WD-40 & then retracted the belt. Wolla its working fine. Thought I would pull the drivers side out & take a Boo. Tons of mud & dirt found. I repeated the process. I think its safe to say that if your riding in some harsh conditions with stock seat belts. You might have to periodically maintain these steps to keep them workin all the time.

Re: cannot pull the seat belt to buckle it!

I just encountered this problem on my recent Dusty Vacation and after I cleaned it thoroughly with a good pressure burst of water I used some new dry film spray and it worked a little better than new.

Re: cannot pull the seat belt to buckle it!

belt would'nt pull out this weekend after about 2 hours of mud riding. kept riding, had a rollover and as I type this sitting on the couch with a broken collarbone I can tell you. BUY the harnesses Its a hell of a lot cheaper in the long run..
