4 point harness suggestions?

Any suggestions out there for a 4 point harness with these features (in order of priority)
1) quick connect/release style (anything but latch style)
2) sewn on shoulder padding

other preferred items but not that important:
2 inch shoulder / 3 inch lap belts
Y style shoulder belts or independent shoulder belts w/ sternum strap
Red

so far only crow and RJS have come up in my research, and the crow camlocks are kinda spendy. any suggestions are much appreciated!

team tech are real nice, sewn in shoulder pads, sternum strap, pelvic pad, cam locks, tension springs in the shoulders so they don't work loose. You'll find safety is expensive. Are you worth it?

Re: 4 point harness suggestions?

I know you mention you don't want latches but the Crow all-metal latch is a real nice one. Just like what's used on airplanes. With the shoulder straps sewn to the lap belt there's nothing quicker. I have the RJS 2" Y-harness and am satisfied with them except for 2 small complaints:
The webbing is a little stiffer than Crow and seems to "take a set" in the adjusters which makes them harder to get moving & adjusted.
The latch is a plastic-covered pushbutton that looks cheap. It's NEVER given me a problem--I just don't like the cheap appearance of it.
You can get Crow for the same price as RJS (under $50 each for 2+2") so I'll go that way next time.

I think sewn-on shoulder pads are an option for either brand. I just use slip-on pads from Walmart.

I have the crow 2" and really no complaints other than the time it takes new passengers to learn how to use the buckle. I have the sewn in pads and I payed $200.00 for the pair. Simpson makes a 5 point that works off of the cam design, looks pretty slick.

Crow strongly discourages the use of their kam lock in an offroad application.

Re: 4 point harness suggestions?

I bouth the ones from Dragonfire racing - where did you all mount the belts too on the outside of the seat?

I am purchasing longer bolts where the original clips are for the "inner belt clips" to bolt too

I want to keep the original belts as well, I am thinking of using the two bolts that are behind the seats

Re: 4 point harness suggestions?

Baditude, why are you keeping the original belts in when you have a far superior piece of safety equipment installed? Just curious. With no way to predict when you would really "need" the 4 points it would be a shame to sustain an injury because you had chosen to put on the stock belt for that ride instead of the 4 points and the stock belt didn't do its job.

Re: 4 point harness suggestions?

I was able to put the new Dragonfire racing harnesses on using the existing bolts of the factory belts and keep the factory belts.

I kept the factory belts in because they don't get in the way at all and they are easier if just driving around town when at Gilbert, WV or Evarts, KY

For trail use no question we will be using the 4 points.
