Went to the dunes this weekend and noticed my diff was engaging on its own when the tires spun... I read on the 800 forum about a pin that would break but nothing on the turbo forum. Anyone been through this yet?
Our XPT has done this twice while on the dyno. We got lucky both times as it was at low speeds. We had a new XP1000 Ranger in here do it also and it tore the driveline out of it. We now run ALL Polaris models with the front wheels on rollers we made just in case.
Not to bad. The roll pin holding the drive line would be the worst part. Some come out easy, some don't. We replace it with a nut and bolt. If u go into it, do some upgrades such as the armature plate and possibly the cage. Hdextremeoffroad.com has some good stuff
DC motorsports has been doing a lot of work on our riffs also. they have a Facebook page, but I haven't seen a website. Not sure if they are part of HD or not. They have worked with sandcraft on some stuff. I want to do the bearings and a few other things in the tranny now that bearing failed are popping up. Did u do any gear reduction?
I ordered the stage 1 and 2 from hdextremeoffroad. I just went big so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Talk to Brandon, he will not try and up sell you just help with the way you ride.
