Tire question

I have a 16 Turbo razor. I was wondering what tire combination people were using for all four corners people told me to go with the skinny tire that it handles better but others say that the Turbo has too much power for the skinnier tires what are people running

Re: Tire question

Most people are running 30/10, 31/10, or 32/10 tires on 14x7 or 15x7 wheels.

IMO opinion a 10" wide tire is plenty sufficient on a Turbo and you just need to make sure you pick a good tire for the type of terrain that you generally ride in.

What type of riding do you do? All the turbos in the group I ride with are running 32" tires. They all run the wider tires, but they all like to do trails and rock crawling.

I just put 31" Ultracross R-Specs on my XP1000. Was out in the desert this past weekend and was super happy with the performance. We did some rocky trails and they have great grip.

How tall do they measure off your car? I think those will be my next tire as well.

I believe they measured right at 31" at 15psi. I knocked the PSI down to 10, so I will have to measure again.

Amazing how much better the car rolls with the bigger tires. I was very impressed with the tire. Also nice that they do not balloon up when you are doing over 60mph, like the stock big horns.

I am running 30s currently and I really like them. They are pretty short though and only measure 29.5" at 12 PSI. My back tires are toast and it's time for new ones. Not sure how that happened.

Try to find a 5+2 off-set, if possible. Less feed back in the steering wheel.

I went with a 4+3 and had feed back in the steering wheel. Could of been a combo of the off-set and the bigger tires.

I measured my tires last night and looks like they are right around 30 1/2" with 10psi in them. I think next time out I am going to run them at 12 psi.

Re: Tire question

I ran 32x10x14 roctanes on itp black ops dual beadlocks (73lbs a corner) for a year and went through 4 belts 1000 miles. Mostly deep snow ridding. Just mounted 15" methods with 32x10x15 aftershock XDs (52lbs a corner) approximately... huge difference!!!!!!

Re: Tire question

I am running 32" tensors on 14" method beadlocks. I wouldn't want it any other way.

52 lbs for a 32/10r15 tire/wheel setup is REALLY light. A 15" Method 401 is 19 lbs by itself and a 30" Aftershock is 35 lbs. How much does the 32 weigh? You running the new Roost non beadlock wheels?
