2017 will clutch vent just let water in?

Been installing some extras on the new turbo and noticed the clutch vent is just open and I can stick my hand in it. Maybe this is a dumb question but what's going to stop water from just running in there into the hot clutch??

I agree. Something doesn't sound right. If you could post some pictures that would be helpful. Once we can see whats going on someone will be able to let you know whats going on.

This is one of the reasons I added the Blowhole to my inlet. Although I have been in water numerous time that put several inches into the floorboards with no issue I wanted a bit more insurance plus the added cooling effect without snorkeling as I know there will be times I drop into deeper than expected water crossings and I did not want the worry.

Aftermarket Assigns make a strong blower for the clutch. Pulls in 600-700 CFM vs. stock pull from clutch movement of 300-400 CFM.

it's not a perfect solution but it will push air through a closed system and out the vent if in water. Similar to blowing air through a mouth snorkel pushing water out...

Also cools clutches better IMO. (Two for one)

There is a new snorkle kit out that runs the clutch exhaust up to where the intakes are, and then curves back down and blows the air out in the factory position across the header. Forgot who makes it, and I think it’s only for the non-turbo, but the design principle is the same if you wanted to make something for the turbo.
