2017 will clutch vent just let water in?

Been installing some extras on the new turbo and noticed the clutch vent is just open and I can stick my hand in it. Maybe this is a dumb question but what's going to stop water from just running in there into the hot clutch??

My 17 4 seater is the same! When the motor in running pretty sure the force of air coming out of it won't let water in ? But if stalled in water deeper then opening it's going to let water in !

My 15 1k had the grate over it but it also was up a bit higher. Just didn't seem like a great design

Re: 2017 will clutch vent just let water in?

If you get in some deep water and stop, the water will rush in and fill the cvt. Bad design. Also on the 2016 the intake bezels get clogged up easily. I just finished snorkeling mine.
