Re: Dynojet Power Vision CX

I just ordered one yesterday direct from Dynojet since they have a 15% code running on their site until the end of the month. All I really need to to regain power in low range and a few other things. I did not want to spend anymore since I do not need a ton more power and want to keep my quiet stock exhaust.

The software is downloaded from their website. I just did it. And ordered the tuner. I am excited.

Re: Dynojet Power Vision CX

Mine is out for delivery, should have it soon. Got this graph yesterday from the tech dept. at Dynojet. This is their '17 tune compared to the stock tune.
Impressive gains in the mid and notice the ECU isn't pulling power at 68MPH

Re: Dynojet Power Vision CX

Here is the same two runs with HP in relation to RPM. This shows gains throughout the curve and a max gain of 20HP at 8000 RPM. Excited to install it.

Re: Dynojet Power Vision CX

Thanks for posting those. This product sure is interesting. A lot cheaper than a reflash and gives the owner a lot of control over their vehicle.

My only concern is the quality of the tunes you can get for it, but surely a company like DynoJet has come good stuff. Something to think about.

If it comes with software, it's like EFI Live or HP Tuners, you can write your own tunes.
If it's anything like the Megasquirt system I have on my truck, I'm not much of a tuner, lol.

I really like that it has that ability, but after my truck project, I don't fancy myself much of a tuner. I have kinda reached the opinion that without putting it on a dyno, you're doing a lot of guessing, or I should say I am doing a lot of guessing. I probably wouldn't mess with a whole lot other than flashing canned tunes and changing cooling fan setpoints. Maybe adjusting throttle input and things like that.

Honestly, I love everything that it offers, and it's half the price or less than the guys that want to sell me each and every tune, and lock me into a tune because I can't even change it myself. This seems like a pretty decent value. Not much of a fan of the pricetag on the other stuff. I am not looking to run race gas, and bigger injectors, and nitrous, etc. I just like the notion of being able to work on my own rig.
