Re: Phantom shocks

I think there's been some success with them. Somebody should pipe up that's happy with them. Not sure though...

SuperATV sells them, does not "make" them. China... Still might be a good product for the dollars. PawPaw has a set. Haven't seen him online in a week or so.

The springs off the podiums are made in China, not the shocks.

Re: Phantom shocks

OK I just sent a set of these back to them. These shocks are quite frankly junk of the highest order. First rear one broke within 2 hours of use on miller jeep trail - nothing a shock should break on. As I was going away to Arizona, so I took off the other phantom back shock and replaced with the stock.

So yesterday I took up the task of re-installing the two rear phantoms, and the un-repaired shock through virtue of JUST INSTALLING NOTHING ELSE, it started leaking oil from the top of the shock. I did not even get into putting the repaired on back on, its still in its bubble wrap (with of course parts missing due SATV not returning spacers and rubber mounts). They only sent the shock back - even if I wanted to put the repaired one back on I couldn't. No attention to detail on their part.

I just sent the whole lot back to them. Folks the price is enticing but its junk.

:-(

Re: Phantom shocks

Granted I have them on an 800-s, but I have BEAT on mine with lots of hard landings and they are doing great so far. They have a good bit of time on them.
