Thumbs up I added progressive springs - WOW!

OK, no B. S. here! I put on a set of the Makin Trax XP progressive springs on my stock XP shocks and went riding at the Little Sahara Dunes in Waynoka, Oklahoma this weekend. I frequently ride this park and our group has sort of a set routine for thrashing through the park. As soon as we hit the trails I could immediately tell a huge difference in the ability of the suspension to smooth out the choppy stuff and not bottom out in spots where it would have before the spring change.

On the big open runs I could tell the rear end of the XP was hooked up and biting much better and didn't feel unloaded until somewhere close to topping out on speed. This really made me feel much more confident that I had solid control at speed. High speed performance through whoops was greatly improved. I ran through whoops WFO (60+)where previous 45 mph runs would send the rear end bouncing from side to side.

Lastly, jumping was much better! Predictable, flat & comfortable landings.

I noticed about 98% of the XP bucking and lawn dart issue was gone! I HIGHLY reccomend these springs, you will love them!

Re: I added progressive springs - WOW!

I was also there this weekend and had the new makkin trax springs installed and the jumps are now not putting stress on my back when I land. I can not feel the rzr bottom out now like I could before. I am still working on my suspension and getting it dialed in but it is super close now. I have to agree with the OP. My buddy had his stock setup and I went for a ride in his rzr and wanted out because of how harsh the stock ride is. I totally recommend these to anyone who wants a better ride.

Re: I added progressive springs - WOW!

I don't have an XP but a few months ago I put them on my standard with +5 and fox podiums. total transformation for high performance work. Last week I started playing with preload. I added 1/8 " in the front and a little less than 1/4" in the rear and talk about a completely different animal. I have video of the springs and front suspension going through whoops I will post up hopefully tonight. There's also some HARD cornering vids in there too. I wasn't too happy not running the rear swaybar with no preload but you'll be able to see how flat this thing corners with a little preload. The adjustments I mentioned above are too much for my tastes but I'm going to back off both ends a little this week and do some comparison video.
These things are a home run in my book.

The RZR4 did not suffer the same problems the XP off the showroom floor. We do have a spring replacement kit that is becoming more popular now due to sagging springs.
