Does anyone know if there is a rev limiter in the 2012 XP? At WOT 70 mph it runs a little rough and cuts out a bit

Two things I can think of that would cause it to hit limiter early is smaller tires on rear
Belt worn
Primary hanging up
What is the RPM?

Lmao!!!! No it sounds more like a missing cylinder or fouled plug but stops sputtering when u back off the throttle. Seems fine at any other speed

rev limit is a set point doesnt change... so with aftermarket ex your ether running lean or the pipe changed your power curve

If I were running lean, how would that lower my top speed(hitting the rev limiter too soon)?
Sorry to hijack, but it's related. :beer3:

Could it be possible that your factory clutching is little on light side. I know with adjustable weight clutch kits you can add weight on the toe to keep the rpms down and keep it from bouncing off the rev limiter. Just a thought don't know how common it is for factory clutching being off.
Just my thoughts on it,
Nathan
