Has anyone flashed their ECM? I'm looking into getting a little edge with my 900 and still race in the stock class. Does it make a noticeable difference? I want to stay as close to stock as possible right now or is there something else that would get the same results? We are racing on .7 mile course in Central Oregon. Any help would be great. Thanks

Re: Flash ECM

Flashing the ECM with everything being stock is not going to give you a edge nor is adding a programmer.

I race and we have our own dyno etc and I can tell you without a doubt that is not going to give you a edge.

Actually, the difference is going to be in the driver. Last race I passed everyone in the unlimited class while in the modified class although I should have been in the stock class.

The largest mistake people make is bad combinations of products that were not meant to run together.

If you are like me and put 26x9x12 on rear to I can tell you that you need a clutch change and if you hate the amount of engine braking while jumping and landing then a change in a helix in secondary clutch is in order both of which I can help you with.

Re: Flash ECM

Correct me if im wrong Todd, but one of the benifits of the ECU overwrite is the added rev limiter adjustment. If your in the high rpms banging the rev limiter i think this would help. Then there is all the timing adjustments that unfortunately i cant say i know how they help im not that knowing about motors. Wish i was.

THat's true but are you going to be racing over 75mph? I never reach speeds over 65mph where I race.

Best money would be spent on a PCV so you could adjust timing, add the 500 RPM, adjust fuel now and in the future.

The change in timing will not be felt in your butt.
