Re: Oil Filter Part #

The new XP 2013's oil filters are the same as the 800's. They switched back.

When i bought my oil change kit for my 900 they said it was the same one as for the 800, just sold me 2 extra quarts of oil because the 900 uses 3.5 quarts? Was this wrong or ok?

Re: Oil Filter Part #

If your XP is a 13 then there right. If it's a 11 or 12 there wrong.

Is the oile different or just the filter? Because it didnt look like the filter was the same, and the new filter and the old filter had the same part number on it, now im worried it aint gonna work tight, lol. I changed it and it hasnt given me any probs for almost 300 mils.

51358, WIX doesnt list the 900 but it is the same as the Sportsman 850 XP
The longer 800 filter is 51356

With that said it looks like they went back to Polaris 2540086 for the 2013 900..so 51356 for the 2013 900...personally I use the larger 51356 on my 2011 900

In many scientific lab test & general opinion from those in the industry WIX filters (oil, air, trans, fuel ect) are the Best #1... My good friend owns a Mobil oil quick lube, so needless to say I get @ cost pricing. Their filters are rebranded "Champion labs" which are good as well. Other wise it would be nothing but WIX for me !!!
