Who knows a nice place to stay when going to the Hatfield McCoy trail systems ?

my friends and I are planning to ride at the Hatfield and McCoy trail systems in West Virginia sometime mid - June. The info on their website is so overwhelming, so many places to stay. There will be 8-10 of us probably. We would like to all stay in 1 place with several bedrooms or in a couple of cabins close together. I have heard you need to book early, so we arelooking now. Any suggestions ?
Thanks....

Ashland Resort,Look at their Crumpler House. They also have several cabins choices. Take a look at their web site. They have many lodging options available.

Twin Hollows camp ground and cabins. Hatfield and McCoy Trails - Access to Rockhouse trail from camp. The town of Guilbert is at the bottom of the hill, approximately ten min. Gas, food, breakfast, Etc. Ashland is the best place to ride from but hardly no place to eat or get groceries.

If I were you I would stay at the Depot Lodge in Man and ride the Rockhouse trail system first so you dont have to trailor anything. Then the next day trailor your rides to Bearwallow and ride there. About 45 minutes away. That way you get 2 nice trails in. Bearwallow is pretty rocky and bumpy depending what you like. Rockhouse is wide open for the most part. jmo

There are no cabins that I recomend at Bear Wallow that will hold that many people. Trail Riders Escape is a great place, but it can only sleep about 6 comfortably. I do not recommend Thunder Lodges based on opinions of friends. There are some motels in Logan.

Rockhouse is the largest of the trail systems. I would recommend the Rockhouse Trail system and I would stay at the Browning Fork Trailhouse. Marty and Lisa are awesome!!! Go to Browning Fork Trailhouse

We go every year, if you go to the Rockhouse, stay here....Its a great location, HUGE house, the owners are super nice. There is a great sitting area outside with a fire place, in the middle of town and easy trail access. We had 16 stay here last year

Pinnacle and Indian Run now are joined, so actually that will give you the most miles. But Rockhouse is the biggest single trail system. You will be addicted!

We stayed at the house in the post above, the pics don't do it justice, we have booked it already for another trip! people are great that own it, police in town are awesome! lots of food and stuff nearby, Highly recommend Gilbert and this house!! Great little restaurant (Wallys) right at the entrance to the trails, friendly little town, cater to the offroaders, I took my children and they rode there little 125 quads and had a great time!
