30" Tires

I have a 2011 XP and was wondering if a 30x10x12 front and a 30x12x12 rear would work on my XP without a lift and altering shock settings to avoid a rub? I have a buddy that put the same combination on a RZR4 and has no issues, but seems I read on here of people having issues with 30" tires rubbing? Maybe they were referring to a 14" wheel.

Re: 30" Tires

My 30s rubbed even with the shocks cranked but it was on the outer edge of the fenders and my tires have a very square profile. There are a few guys running them with the shocks at stock setting and claim no rubbing though.

Re: 30" Tires

The guy I was talking about was running the 30" mud lites and he had a lot of clearance on the RZR4. Is there more clearance on the RZR4? I suppose type of tire would make a difference also.

30 inch Dominators, rubs a little on the fenders and no lift. Love them!

30" Outlaw Radials. They are good all around tires but are a bit heavy. Mounted on these wheels they are 62lbs each!

Wow, that's a lot more than I would have guessed. What's the top speed with all of that rotating mass?

Re: 30" Tires

I have no idea. I have had it up to 60 with them on but that wasnt all she had. Hell I havent even topped it out with stock tires. I've gone 70 on stocks but I ran out of room. I cant get on the road here...cops live right next to me.

Re: 30" Tires

Not too bad. Does it feel slower in lower RPMs? That's the only thing I really worry about with putting bigger tires on is killing the gear ratio and making it feel like a turd.
