Re: RZR XP starter
***Update - I let the JB Weld dry overnight and re built the starter this morning. Bench tested and it seems to work great! Quick vid clip below...
![]() I decided to use a 6mm allen bolt for the bottom starter mount. The stock 6mm bolt/8mm head is just way too hard to work with! I cut a 5mm ball end allen wrench to proper length and used a 5mm socket on the other end so I can use my small 1/4 inch socket wrench to tighten. The ball end allen allows me to get the proper angle on the bolt as it is a REAL pain to get to. ![]() **Just re installed starter and everything works perfect! All in all changing out the starter on an XP is a real pain in the ass! I guess Polaris never thought their starters would go bad! Last edited by ocrzr; November 4th, 2011 at 12:10 PM. |

Re: RZR XP starter
I know of a 2011 XP that had a simular problem... This XP fried the Positive and Negative wires due to it causing a dead short...
Towed this XP in from the dunes...
