Need advise from the hardcores please.........

I disconnected mine and I'm lookin at it. I wanted to look at range of motion.
When disconnected the shock smacks down an xtra 1.25" or so to full extension.

also the boot thing and axle look unhappy. They go waaaay down.

Is disconnecting that safe on the other parts?

If they are using the swaybar as a suspension stop it would be a first for me. The swaybar shouldn't limit suspension travel. You should be able to disconnect both sides and rotate the bar until it until it hits something. Maybe you have something out of whack from the crash? Maybe the sway bar is twisted? Is the otherside that is still connected at full extension? Is that inner CV boot touching the frame?

Re: Sway Bar Poll

Yeah you must have a problem there.. you don't have the other side supported do you? Is the other end connected and is the other trailing arm hanging? If so something must be tweaked.
Here is mine wheels off the ground left side swaybar bolt removed..still lines up perfectly.

Re: Sway Bar Poll

Took the sway bar loose on the rzr s this weekend and went for a 55 mile ride. It really made a huge difference in the ride over rough and rocky areas. It is a little tippy feeling at higher speeds and cant have as much fun sliding on gravel roads but the smoother ride in rough areas is gonna be worth it.

I'm going to try it......looks like a tough job to reattach them on the trail....the bar is stiff.

You align it with the suspension. On flat ground the holes should be close to lining up, if they are off a little you can have some rock the machine to one side a little until it lines up so the bolts go in easily..flexing the bar to get it lined up would be a pain.

With one side hooked up you then get the other aide hooked up..usually on flat ground it is close..then have some one rock it a little to get the other side last bolt in..not hard at all..unless maybe your springs sag VERY unevenly and it sits cockeyed on flat ground..in that case do it on a slope lol.

What about slow and hard as in mild rock crawling or is it due to the forces applied during turning at high speeds?

Re: Sway Bar Poll

Frank how are they twisting? The front mount and the radius rods mount the arm of course..the radius rods should stop any twisting. I'm not understanding the sway bars roll in supporting the trailing arms? If that is part of the design ( swaybar needed to prevent trailing arm damage) I'm not crazy about that line of thinking lol.

Re: Sway Bar Poll

good info on the mounting bracket I left mine on seeing it was a support bracket, plus it has a slot for the muffler (on an S) like most have said above, depends on your riding, I ride slow rough terrain, with it off it rides much better...for my environment
