Primary blue washer?

I was told that you can remove this blue plastic washer and you will gain a little top speed? Has anybody heard of this?

Re: Primary blue washer?

I removed it on my 14 900eps. I did gain around 5-8 mph top end. It was nice cause it kept shifting out instead of hitting rev limiter.

evo stage2 tune, evo bov, osp clutch kit, Polaris half windshield, Polaris roof, siezmik mirrors, prp door bags, trinity stage5 exhaust, 3p shims, a little rubber bendy pink panther dude hanging on the roll cage for dear life! and I'm sure I'm missing some stuff.

Potentially but in 13 Polaris added a white to the blue because the 11-12 models were pulling the belt too far down in the secondary clutch at top speed tearing the belt up.

I personally would not do it

I think you were covering up a issue, it shouldn't be hitting the limiter

Now unless you are talking about when you nail the throttle and it did it around 55 mph or so, then removing the white would stop that but if you stay in it too long at top speed with it out you can blow the belt for the reason mentioned in comment above this one

Might blow a belt and you will have metal on metal contact with the spider nut and cover on the clutch itself.

I would not, that is not high rpm so more power would do it
