Re: XPT4 0-60 times

Bad intercooler is what I was told parts were back ordered thru Polaris of course. I was getting massive amount of white smoke out of the exhaust and cylinder 1 and 2 misfire codes due to coolant entering the engine. All this happened with about 15 hours on the car. Click image for larger version

I'm starting to think I'd better stay away from these Turbo machines. Hope you get back on the trail soon.

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

Nah man do it! Doesn't sound like they have too many problems and the issue I had isn't common at least from what I've researched.
Expat and FRAZR like this.

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

I'll do it. I have a bmp tuner which records 0-60. I'll try stock then with tunes.. really need a clutch kit tho.

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

I have a Aftermarket Assasins clutch kit coming for mine. A clutch kit made a big difference hooking up on my 900. Turbo probably needs it as well especially when you have 4 peeps and standing on the throttle going up hill.

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

Better to do a clutch over a tune?

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

One of the tunes they offer states you WILL need to do the clutch due to added HP.
So I'm starting with the clutch initially and then later I'll add the tune(s)

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

I'm on EVO stage 2 and no clutch issues. Clutch kit is going on Saturday anyway. In my opinion the clutch kit is the cheapest and best mod for any RZR. I will do a before and after 0 to 60.

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

Nice! Aftermarket exhaust with the stage 2? I was dead set on doing the evo tune or just buying their maptuner x (haven't found any reviews on going with the maptuner) but with the issues I've had I'm a little nervous to go that route

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

Not sure if the Maptuner is out yet from EVO. I bought an xtra ECU and had them flash it. I'm running thier Captains exhaust, BOV, and charge tube. Waiting for the clutch weights from AA that they forgot to put in the box, should be here Saturday morning. EVO has a stroker kit with big turbo that will be over 250 HP. Thier big turbo kit is at 203 HP. Not sure which one I'm going to get yet.

Re: XPT4 0-60 times

Dude sweet that's a nice set up. I was gonna do stage 1 or 2 with a new ECU from evo but the maptuner is definitely out I emailed evo about the dealer being able to detect a reflash from maptuner they told me if you purchase a ECU history delete they couldn't detect it. Either way I gotta get my car back from the dealer this week drive the piss out of it and see if I have ongoing issues. Even with problems on a brand new car I can't shake the gotta make it faster bug.

It's like a disease for me. My ZO6 is stock for now. Not sure how long that will last.
