Very Impreesed

I took my new turbo out for its first run over the weekend. Every year, a few buddies of mine put together a RZR trip to the Grand Canyon. We leave out of Mesquite, Nevada and drive 125 with over night camping. I will post pictures later. Total round trip was about 220 miles. Tank was filled, 10 extra gallons, tent, sleeping bag, food, alcohol, etc. I took it easy the first 30 miles or so to get the belt broken in and to get the feel of it. I can honestly say, it is a great all around machine. day two was the long haul to the Grand Canyon. great drive and centenary. We went through a little of everything from strait aways, hills climbs, to rock crawling. Nothing stood in its way. The RZR powered through everything. Day 3 we drove 120 miles or so back to the trucks. Loaded it up and went home. Now to wash it off and get ready for the next trip. The one and only thing I have to complain about is the tires. Those big Horns are the worse tires ever. Other than than, it ran great, did great on gas, very nice ride, no issues at all.

Re: Very Impreesed

Thanks for posting a snapshot of your trail ride. Sounds like you had a blast. Your RZR is a beast for sure. I have always wanted to ride to the Bar 10 Ranch and spend the night in one of their covered wagons then ride to the canyon. May have to plan that. Can't wait to see the photos.

A solid set of 30/10R-14 Tires on all four corners with the same size wheel works out well for these machines so you can rotate front to back.

Re: Very Impreesed

I heard about that trail a few months ago, It looks like a blast, I'll have to put it on the "TO DO" List I also heard you can leave from St. George UT. and make it all the way down to the grand canyon. I've hiked rim to rim a couple of time and the scenery is just incredible, it would be a blast to get to the canyon in my RZR.

Re: Very Impreesed

Only gripe with the Bighorn 2.0 is they are WAY too soft. Really love having all the extra power on hand myself and the suspension is a huge upgrade from the 14' as well.

The original Bighorns on my 14 XP1K had a much firmer compound, wouldn't get torn up/wear so easily.

Re: Very Impreesed

I don't like the grip. Every time I hit the throttle, I can feel the back end coming loose. In corners, it felt like I was over steering the RZR. I wasn't going fast in the turns at all.

I will post a picture of what I did. I removed the rear seats, made a platform to hold the Ice Chest and two 5 gallons of fuel. The rear section, I put all my dry goods, tools.
