I know the front end changed on the 17 turbos with larger grill and radiators. With those changes did the bumper mounting points change? If I buy a bumper that would fit a 16, will it for my 17 turbo?
I had same issue. No place really wanted to sell me a 16 bumper because they did not know if it will work since they have not had a chance to see if they fit. I really liked the U4 bumper by HMF. Had a buddy make one for me. We had to drill through the plastic since it is wider than the 16. Still came out nice.
The frame mounting points are the same, the plastic fascia is different. With the new plastic, the upper mounts for most 2016 bumpers will not fit (unless you want to cut/modify the 2017 XP Turbo plastic).
I will say the rear bumper sucked, but the front was pretty easy. Hardest part was getting the snap in plastic grill to fit back through the front of the bumper. I didn't think they changed. Superatv' site just said 2016+.
You can make most of them fit by removing the winch area plastic cover plate. If that's not enough than you can trim the octagon holes slightly. We were able to make the Polaris, Dragonfire, Proarmor, and SDR fit so far with minor trimming. It's all behind the bumper too so you don't notice it.
I just installed '17 grille on my '16 turbo to take advantage of the larger grille opening and my Polaris bumper mounted fine. The bumper mounting points haven't changed. The Deluxe bumper does block some of the grille opening, but I can easily remove the top section and change it to a Low Profile bumper.
The rear bumpers that mounts to the radius rod bolts match up but the holes are 12mm up from the 10mm 2016 size. I got a Dragonfire rear bumper to fit my 2017 RZR Turbo by enlarging the bumper holes slightly.
