Re: Dragon Fire Doors

I installed my set a couple months ago. Nice doors but you have to adjust them quite a bit to make them fit close to perfect. I don't really have anyway to reference whether they are any better than other doors but overall I'm pretty happy with them.

Re: Dragon Fire Doors

Awesome doors . I have installed 3 sets on xp4's and in my opinion they are the best ones I've seen . No squeaks or rattles of ANY sort . Latches do take some adjustment to get perfect but once you get them they are great . If you ever want to take the door off , you just pull one screw and the door slides up off the hinge .

My father in law had pro armor doors with new style latches and after he seen mine , he sold his and bought Dragon Fire doors . He says there is no comparison between the two .

I had one latch that was bad when I received it , called Dragon fire and they sent a new one out no questions asked . So they are great to deal with as well .

Re: Dragon Fire Doors

Just bought some yesterday for my xp4. I looked at TMW, UTV Inc in person at their showrooms. Was surprised that they did not have any type of cross braces in the center of the door. Between those two they are very similiar with same latches and the only difference is how the door panels mount and the size of the doors. I do think they make a quality product I just liked the features of Dragonfire better.

I chose Dragonfire b/c I could get them at local dealer, crossbraced, and rear door latch location are within reach for my kids to get the door to open themselves. (Other two brands rear latch is halfway down door panel on the back of door, out of reach for the kiddos)

Should get them on today and let you know what I think.

Re: Dragon Fire Doors

Let me know how the install goes. I have noted the same details with the utv inc doors. Dragon Fire and Utv Inc are at the top of my list

Re: Dragon Fire Doors

Installed the doors yesterday and it went pretty smooth. I was one of the "lucky" ones and had some minor shipping damage. Was not a big deal as either not visible once installed or I was able to fix. One of the mounting points for the front of the cage attachment was bent but persuaded it back with a BFH (big !@#$ing hammer). Speaking of, several I have looked at and seen pictures of have a large t'd mounting point here which I liked, thought looked it good and apparently they changed their design. Probably to save them some money but now is just a bracket, disappointed here. See pics below:

Install is pretty straight forward, directions are well written. Colored pictures would have been nice as b&w pics are a little hard to decipher in a few pics but colored instructions are available for download on their website. Everything lined up like it was supposed to, quality hardware was provided were needed but most of the stock hardware is reused. Started all the bolts until all were installed then went back and tightened. Doors swing easily, latches needed minimal adjustment which is not to bad and there is a video on their website if you need further help.

In the end, I am very happy with the overall product. Doors latch like they are suppose to and there is a locking mechanism (only see it on these doors) also. Changed the look of my rzr, provided some additional safety, and best of all got rid of those stupid @$$ nets. Ready to get rid of that ugly @$$ cage next. I know it is a little dirty but here it is.

Re: Dragon Fire Doors

I was wondering about the changed front door cage bracket mount myself. My guess is they also changed it to make for more adjustment from rzr to rzr differentiation.

Re: Dragon Fire Doors

I went back and forth between dragonfire and PA. I went with the DFs and my buddies went with PAs. Dragonfire hands down seems to be a better door. You do have ti adjust the latches every so often, but not a huge deal.

Re: Dragon Fire Doors

I don't have the XP4 but do have an XP. I have had the Dragon Fire Low Boy doors on for over a year now and am extremely pleased with them. I was wrenching on my machine today and I love the way the DF doors come off by removing one screw.

Re: Dragon Fire Doors

Disregard this post as Lumberman confirmed they are new doors with Dragonfire company. Admin delete if possible.

Just an update, I found out today that the front mount I posted pics of in the above post is actually an old version of their doors not a new one. Apparently I found some old doors stocked at my local dealer. Oh well, just thought I would let you guys know.
