Jagged X HO Loose lug nuts from factory

Broken studs and lost lugs on first run due to loose lug nuts.
Stranded at Dumont comp hill we trucked the XHO back at night.

CHECK YOUR LUG TIGHTNESS!!!!

Don't want you to go through this hell.

It's the medium length studs on the XHO The long style stud may be to long.

I would think that would be a check the dealer does.

Re: Jagged X HO Loose lug nuts from factory

Its sucks we have to, But honestly on any new machine you need to check everything.. Lugs, fluids, cage bolts, ect...

Isn't is it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do "practice"?
Why do we drive on the parkway and park in the driveway?
Problem with political Jokes is,, they get elected..

Re: Jagged X HO Loose lug nuts from factory

Owner did a 4 hour RT run into Las Vegas, got new studs and lug nuts,,,
Polaris Dealer Carters sold him the wrong studs.
Couldn't compare because the broken studs are lost out in the desert.

You'd think Carters could at least get that right with a proper parts number off the parts page on the computer.
Their is a short stud, a medium length stud and a long stud that Polaris uses that we know of so far. Perhaps more lengths too.

Ya remove the brake caliper and the disc too using a torx fitting bit. Tap out the remaining broken stud,, tap in the correct new.

Make the dealer look up the proper X H O stud part number,, don't take their word for it.
They'll guess their worst.

Ahh brother.

Re: Jagged X HO Loose lug nuts from factory

my dealer had the beadlocks mounted and the wheels were torqued before I even picked my Jagged up. I did go over the entire car to check everything. Mine seems to be built on a Tues or Wed, No Friday rush to get home or Hung over Monday issues for mine.

Re: Jagged X HO Loose lug nuts from factory

That does suck but you cant trust the factory or dealership,do your own pre-check at least on your lug nuts, even more if the wheels are installed at the dealership,I brought mine home and it didn't have the radiator cap on it,how I noticed the was anti-freeze all over my trailor.

Re: Jagged X HO Loose lug nuts from factory

My dealer went over my entire 13 XP checking bolts and marked them with a white board marker to indicate that they were good. It says a lot both about the quality of my dealer and the quality control of PoPo that this was done.

The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

Re: Jagged X HO Loose lug nuts from factory

50 ft lbs of torque on the lugs.
Lowes often has their 1/2" drive torque wrenches on sale.
I paid $50 for mine, which is a far cry from the $600 I paid for a Strap On that got stolen a while back.

Expensive tools are nice until they get stolen.

Re: Jagged X HO Loose lug nuts from factory

BTW I was at my Polaris dealer today (Tues).
The new Polaris Sport SxS 2 seater (aka Centurion) will be released at the dealer meeting in July,, dealers will be givin' the opportunity to order then,,, the 4 seater around Thanksgiving.
Lower COG, more power, better styling, more suspension.
Also a new version of the TRex will be released by Polaris too.

Dealer has the new AC X, I drove it about the property,, lot's and lots of power, evidently a more quality build, but AC always says that. Nice unit,, but we'll sweat out the Polaris release.
Don't want to have to change the window decals on my trucks.

It sounds like you are the same person my friend Duane ran into at Dumont with loose lugnuts. He told me this same story this week
