2017 rzr xp1k suspension

Anyone done any upgrading to the factory shocks/springs? I'm unhappy with the stock ride/ sag. Currently looking at shock therapy dual rates and valving. But feedback is always nice if someone else has any other ideas Click image for larger version

Re: 2017 rzr xp1k suspension

It will be the best money you spend on your machine. I just had it done to my XPT and my buddy to his 2014 XP and the differance is amazing. You gain 2 to 3 inches in ride height and your machine will ride about twice as good as a new turbo does.

Re: 2017 rzr xp1k suspension

I put the Shock Therapy Springs and revalve on my 2015 XP4 and it was worth every penny. Should have been the first upgrade to my machine.

Re: 2017 rzr xp1k suspension

I just put a shock therapy stage 4 spring kit on my 2016 XP 1000. The change is night and day AWESOME. Because I added front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, skid plate, roof with stereo, winch and spare tire, my suspension was collapsed. With the shock therapy stage 4 spring kit my RZR is 3-4 inches higher than stock and rides like a pillow. I honestly think having the suspension revalved is overkill and not necessary (Unless you are racing or doing some serious jumping).

My stage 4 kit is one of the best mods I've done to my RZR.

I would agree. My buddy just put the springs on his XP4 and the improvement was great. I couldn't really justify the revalve...

Re: 2017 rzr xp1k suspension

Depends on how you ride. Medium to fast riding, you bet, Shock Therapy is probably what you want. Slow technical riding, revalve is not necessary, new tender springs will do the job

2016 XP1K, RZR Works aluminum diamond plate roof, RZR Works spare tire carrier, RZR Works Rock Slyders, RZR Brake Lok, 30-10-14 Roctanes on Method 401 wheels, aftermarket tender springs front and rear, Super ATV 1/2" skid, Factory UTV trailing arm guards, Polaris retractable harnesses. Gen II Duraclutch from Hunterworks, '16 Highlifter input shaft and low gear, Much more to come...

Re: 2017 rzr xp1k suspension

Yea I've pretty much made my mind up on the new springs but can't decide on the valve. I know something has to change. I ride about everything some days it might be slow speed crawling stuff others high speed trails hit water breaks and stuff.

as far as i know shock therapy use 1 valving and possibly work with spring rate.
Ed would customize valving and spring rate to your riding style, location, car wight, bigger tires. i have a body with can am rs ? (the big 1) that ride was tough to say the list. Ed played with it a little and now it rides like a charm

What exactly did you have done, what stage? Hard to imagine anyone not being happy unless something is wrong. It is a big step up in the ride of a XPT and a HUGE leap up in a XP. Something must be wrong or the full kit (sway bars etc not done.)

i did every possible upgrade they offer re valve, springs, cross overs, sway bar. my ride end up so stiff that 2 mo later i just put on a set of 15s take offs and got my ride back. the only problem with the stocks is the springs don't last that's why i'm going with all new 2-1/2" fronts and re valve/spring on the rears. it will probably take 2-3 weeks to get don I'll report after i get everything dialed in. i did the shock therapy deal over 2 years a go they may of change setups since than. again i don't mean to take anything from shock therapy they are getting raving reviews on here
but the'r not the only one's that can do better then stock, its actually pretty
easy to do unfortunately

Re: 2017 rzr xp1k suspension

I went with the Zbros Stage3 kit, and installed it myself. Best thousand bucks I've spent. (I already had the sway bar.) For an extra $80, they will powdercoat the springs to an optional color too.

Re: 2017 rzr xp1k suspension

Yes they constantly update. You can also get the shock valving updates free when you send them in to rebuild. My XPT and my buddies 2014 XP are about as far away from stiff as there is. The ride as soft as a 78 fleetwood and track like new BMWs with the sway bars.
