Any must have upgrades on 17?

Hi guys I was wondering what some of the must have upgrades are for a 17 xp1k. I'm not concerned with accessories or impractical things like shock work or a clutch kit. I am concerned with things that are preventative must haves. I have the holy greazer and I'm going to be buying the secondary rollers for the square pucks and no I am not concerned with squeaky shocks. I'm thinking those are really the only must haves for the 17 but let me know what you guys think I would love some input.

Thanks
Lemmon

I am glad you picked those two. Both are great and in my view necessary to prolong the life of the machine. I have a lot of other stuff but I think you picked the most important.

Depends on where you ride and who with. You should always carry a spare tire. In a caravan of cars a radio is a must. At the end of a 100 mile ride, a shot of Crown Royal sets things O.K. with you and your friends

For me I got a belt temp gauge. I also did an oil pressure gauge.

I haven't heard of the things you mentioned. I am going to have to do some reading up I guess.

Re: Any must have upgrades on 17?

I as well have a 17 xp1k. My second RZR since 09 I have a 16 Ranger hunter deluxe edition for my farm and hunting. I think it's pretty much maxed out on acc. Some of the upgrades were better steering system with heavy tie rod ends. I did add a high lifter 4 in super atv front forward a arms factory utv skid plate. Rhino front axles as I plow a lot of snow in the winter. I have a really bad back so I invested in a set of ELKA stage two shocks and springs. Duraclutch was one of the first things I had done when I bought it. I took it trail riding about a month ago and it did great. I made the mistake of riding a friends 15 xp1k. So with the rebate and my amazing dealership I have a ride command xp1k and I plan to take it for the maiden ride this weekend. I have to control myself with it as I want to make sure I do the break in correctly. I as well wonder what upgrades are going to be done for durability. I was told axles was a upgrade on 17 as well as rear arms. I am a 55 year old guy but even with my back I am very competitive. I did put the g2 seats and click6 harness in it. Sorry for the long winded reply. I really don't want to be stuck 20 miles away from my truck and have a stupid issue that I should have addressed thanks in advance

Re: Any must have upgrades on 17?

Thanks for the replys everyone. I thought about a belt temp gauge but the majority of what I read I don't think it's necessary really. I ride for awhile then stop for refreshments then repeat haha

Re: Any must have upgrades on 17?

Trailing arm guards and fender flares!

Aside from that... I would highly recommend good harnesses, a cage from a reputable fabricator, doors, S&B Particle separator, seats, clutch kit (depending on tire size), tires/rims, radius rods, tie rods, and a box for spare parts.
