A 6 inch lift puts about as much strain on the CV joints as they can possibly handle. So I am guessing that a 7-10" lift will push the joints and other parts beyond their design limits. Not bashing the product, just real life observations.
I am also interested in this lift. It's a lot cheaper than the S3 lift and comes with new trailing arms. Some of the difference in price is gonna be the axles but I would run turner evos.
The gear lift is a good idea but what u have there is not the answer. Hubs keep coming loose, leaks oil, eats brake pads like crazy etc. U also have to cut the ends off ur axles to get them to fit in the gear lift and get the cover on, which makes trouble using the same axles if u take it off. I have been running one since the end of june
Who's gear boxes are you running? With the UTV Solution boxes you dont have to cut down the axles... there's no cover and we supply all the proper hardware to install a stock or aftermarket axle. Also we've never had a issue with hubs coming loose and eating brake pads.. and no leaks.. Please clarify what boxes you're talking about.
Just finished this build at work with the 7-10" kit from SuperAtv. 34" intimidators on 15" Polaris beadlocks. This unit is setup as LOW as I could get it with almost zero preload on the shocks. The kit itself seems to be pretty well built, easy to install, and everything is adjustable so setting toe, and getting everything aligned wasn't too bad. I did run into a problem with running the front shocks on the lowest setting, as the shock reservoir would hit the relocation bracket. Just moved the shock to the outer postion and took out the pre-load, worked fine. I've installed SuperAtv lift kits on RZR's, Mavericks, and rangers and they all seem to be pretty well built. I have however ran into problems with every one ie. missing parts, wrong axles, tolerance problems. Every problem ive contacted SuperAtv and they were more than willing to help, or overnight replacements at no cost. Customer service has been top notch with these guys. They might not have the fit and finish or perfect welds as some of the other companies, but for the price point on their kits, I think theyre pretty tough to beat.
We were on a bit of a time frame to have it done for a trip this weekend, and orange was the only color SuperAtv had available. There is a custom wrap in the works for it that will tie the orange into the graphics. I think it'll look a lot better when the wrap is done. I'll have some more pics and a ride report when we get back from Drummond Island this weekend.
Thanks for clarifying that, I heard they had some issues with there's and just to keep it straight ours are a whole different design of box and everything.
Also not trying to jack this thread. But it would be sweet to see them combined together lift with boxes to keep the gearing. I see n the Super ATV RZR 1k in person when they stopped by our dealership the kit is stout and looks great. Cant wait to see the blue and orange one get wrapped hope they change it up and get rids of the Florida Gator look Nice build!
Any new news on this SuperATV 7-10" lift? I just bought one and have it on the 7" setting with my shocks turned all the way back to factory setting and went to Muddy Bottoms last weekend. road the main trail, turned onto a side trail went over a 4" tree lying in the road and the right rear Rhino axle snapped like a twig. decided to take some of the strain off the other axle and kicked it into 4wheel and headed back to the trailer and "pop" went my front diff. finally had to load it on the trailer using my wench. total ride was 15 minutes. I was not a happy camper! just so happens I had a spot in a buddies ride, so I wasn't out for the weekend. got the bike back to the house and was taking it off the trailer ran over a 2X4 laying on the bed of the trailer and snap goes the left rear axle! got a hold of Superatv and they were willing to help out with sending two new axles. my only concern is now I have a $30k bike with a busted diff because of an axle break on something I paid good money for and am out of pocket who knows how much. I was also looking into Turner axles (which Superatv sells) so why are they putting Rhino axles in place of a better built axle? Not trying to bash Superatv but it would just make more sense to upgrade all you can to keep this from happening over and over.
You all will find out using the beefier axles that you will start eating diffs . Just like any other sport make a weak link stronger then you'll find the next week link !
well the weak link is the front drive shaft. I have twisted 2 so far. completely my fault. just seems like the axles would be able to withstand more than a 4' log or a 2X4. when I installed the lift with the tire off and the a-arms all the way down the hub spins freely, so no axle binding. At this point I will need a truck load of axles to ride for half a day on the main trails. Any thoughts?
