Question XP1000 wheels

I have read the bolt pattern is the same 4:156 but the studs are larger 12mm vs the 10mm on previous models. How is this affecting people adding aftermarket tires/wheels? Can you put the same wheels you had on a 800 or 900 on the new 1000?

Re: XP1000 wheels

Yes, you just need the lug nuts and the tool.. I just put the msa m16 with outlaw 2's on mine and that's what I had to do.

Re: XP1000 wheels

Ok, where'd you get the lug nuts? What tool? Lug wrench?

You have any pics of your bike w the OL2's? I have m12 and OL2's on my old RZR. What about the wheel offset, looks different.

I was wondering that as well. 9.525mm vs. 12mm. At what point does the wheel need to ride on the wheel stud or does the lug center it and there is always a gap.

If the wheel fits both the 900 and 1000 there will be certainly less slop/gap on the 1000 (2.475mm less).

I just ordered MSA M21 Lok Beadlock wheels, 15" 4x156mm with 30" Mongrels for the 1000.

The M21's are 7" wide w/ 0 offset. Should be a gain of 3" total in front and 2" total in the rear.

Re: XP1000 wheels

I was in a hurry and the lug nuts are under the cap that bolts on but I took a picture of the tool, basically they are like locking lug nut and a thin wall socket tool is needed to put them on and off.
I'm on my iPad so hoping the picture will work

Re: XP1000 wheels

Thanks Swimnow, looks good! I actually have a socket like that, think it came with some gorilla lug nuts. Where did you get your lug nuts?

where did you get the lugnuts and tool? Did you have to drill the wheels? Do you have a pic of the lugnuts installed?

Looks good are the a true 30" tire? I was pretty disappointed w the stock
29" bighorns not much taller than 26" stock bighorns and no where near the OL2 29.5's I had on my old RZR.
